Brad Loyet takes the bull by the horns Friday night and wins the $5,000 first place money, Starting on the front row by Bryan Clawson Loyet jumped right out to the lead, over coming several yellow flags and running in lap traffic for part of the race.

Unofficial first four, Loyet, Clawson, Luker, and Brad Kuhn. Loyet green to checkered. 20 feature wins for the young midget driver with maybe one more tommorow night.

Chris Hale joins me on the call. Enjoy.

Just guessing but I think their were about1,500 to 2,000 fans in the seats. Fumes were not as bad as last year. They are using the same fuel that is used at the Chili Bowl. Also the fire department was not opening any doors so the fume count must not have been very high.

48 cars show up for the Friday night show. Out of the 21 cars starting the A-Main 13 finished the race.

The track is small but their is still room to race. I think 15 cars would be a better number to start in the A-Main. Once they got strung out everything seemed good for racing.

It is worth the price to get in. Looking forward to tonight.

The track is small, if you are going to judge an event only by the A-Main their are quite a few tracks and races that do not measure up to their billing. Both evenings were filled with some entertaining heat races as well as 3 B-Mains. None of us go to just see the A-Main. It is the race that concludes an evening of watching racers compete for that starting spot in the A.
Many times the racing in the A-Main is not as good because of to many cars, and the drivers loss of respect for a fellow drivers space to race and a desire to over achieve beyond the situation they inconter during the race. This is not the race tracks fault because of size or configuration.
Most World of Outlaw races are single file racing from the time a race leader establishes himself in the front untell the checkered flag flies. This happens on small and large tracks. Is that their fault? Does that make those tracks to big or to small? It is the nature of the race of a perticular type of car or division.

Someone made the statement, their was no passing, watch the video. Lasoski passed Loyet 3 times thru turns 3 and 4 but Loyet came right back and passed him back down the front straightaway. For two days this track was racie thru the whole evening, again do we just judge the event by the one race.

You can not compare this race with any other and come up with a fair call. In just their second year they made major improvments. The Chili Bowl was not a success over night, it took them a while to fine tune it to what it is today. In the begining they neither had the purse or name drivers this event the Bull Ring has had for the last two years.

Away from our side of this race, has anyone heard drivers or race teams complaining about the event. Their were 48 teams that showed up. I know a winner always thinks things were great, but it sure sounded like Loyet was coming back.
After two days at the race I did not hear or see any drivers or teams saying to any one , this stinks or we will not be back. Most of them have no idea who I am, just a local guy with a camera.
Racers and racing seems to flock to money and a good promoted events. Once again, second year, it is a learning process for all involved.

If you were here the first year and left with a bad taste or dust in your mouth, come next year, or the year their after. This event has racing people behind it and will fix the problems. Kansas City is a live and vibrante racing community with people that have been in and around racing for a long time. Danny Lasoski, and Scott Penington have the event in their formost interests for the event itself.

Webster's Thesaurus, Race Hurry, run, tear, fly, dash, and sprint. I did not see depends on size of the track. Mike k.
