Just got home from St. Anthony hospital and I want to thank you all for the get well wishes via post (below my daughters post) and your emails. Was quite an experience which may have woke me up.

Got to work at 4 AM Thursday morning and then all of a sudden my chest was killing me. Tried to tough it out but got to where I couldn't walk. Went to my supervisors office to let him know about the pain in my chest and the fact I felt really weird. I got to where I couldn't talk very well so they called an ambulance, checked me and gave me two nitros and loaded me up. My first ever time in an ambulance and first time in almost forty years where I got admitted into the hospital.

Test and poked by needles and test and needles, etc. all day Thursday and during the morning on Friday. Said my heart and everything else was perfect and was in perfect shape (pointed to my stomach and said not so much). They learned that I have had a deep, hard cough every night for the past two weeks and came to the conclusion that I strained muscles in my chest from coughing so hard and that would feel like what you would have if you were having a heart attack.

Scared the crap out of me but as my wifes Uncle said, it was a sign to "get right" by God. It definately woke me up. Two things for certain now, I know I am in perfect health (ticker wise) and life is short - anything can happen from out of nowhere. This hurt like nothing I have ever felt before and don't want to experience again.

Again thank you for the prayers as I am sure they worked to where it turned out the way it did because of you all.

Now then, I guess it is time to get caught up on my reading of topics and gathering some information to finally update the front page of the website.

Thank you again.

Glad your ok David.

Had a ride in a ambulance coming home from Ft Cobb with a buddy. He went to sleep while driving out by Mustang. We flipped in a Bronco 2. To this day and from here on out I can remembet he exact words I said we I felt it going over. It was not fun going into the hospital on a stretcher b/c i had no idea where I was.

Anyhow enough about me glad everything is ok. Now the question is are you going to listen?

Glad to hear everything is Ok David. This is not an uncommon problem. I had a Friend (do you believe that...I had a Friend...lol) that was suffering from almost the same symptoms so I took him to the Emergency Room only to find that he had severe intestinal gas and only needed to fart.

I'm not kidding that's exactly what the Doctor said. They gave him a laxitive that cured his problem. Meanwhile his wife my wife and myself spent several hours in the ER waiting room waiting for him to pass gas. It was very scary at the time because he had all of the signs of a Heart Attack.

I'm just happy to hear that you are ok.

Welcome back, now get to work. We have a speedway to save and politicians to vote out of office. I have written every star of racing at all levels asking for their help and support in saving our speedway. Send emails to the fan club and ask them to forward it to your favorite racer.

For those of you in the Oklahoma City boundaries, register to vote if you are not registered, takes friends, relatives, and supporters of racing in the city to get registered and then VOTE. Votes are the only thing that worry politicians and get their attention. If you have ever followed school board or city council elections, you will see very little turn out. If all of the supporters of racing in Oklahoma City voted in council and mayorial elections, we can sway the results. Even if we lose the facility and another one is not built, VOTE THEM OUT.

Be sure and read Sunday's sport section in the paper. There will be an article on the demise of the speedway. Letters to the paper voicing your thoughts would be appreciated. Keep it clean, and don't make wild accusations of lining pockets and graft. We all know it happens, we just can't prove it.

Glad your doing good David. I keep thinking about my stomach also and have been walking for a while now. My dr. told me thursday to pick up the pace cuz the weight aint coming off. Like you though, my heart is in very good condition. Now to everybody else. Please friends, let this be a wake up to call of you over 40. It's time to see a dr. regularly now. Just like you maintain an engine, cuz he could possibly find a problem before you do. EXPLODE !!! Don't want your motor to blow up like that, do ya?

Merry Christmas to all......
