**Tickets to this event would make a great gift-giving idea for Valentines Day!**
Cowtown Midget Champs Triple-Header Fires Off Season Feb. 12-13
12/14/09, DarinShort.com. When the Cowtown Midget Championship joined the traditional February Fast 50 line up in 2009, the result was an incredible field of 252 race teams converging upon the ¼ mile high banks. The 2010 edition of the event, presented by City Vending, National Health Care Advisors and Sunoco Race Fuels will take place on February 12-13, 2010 and will certainly provide a weekend of wild racing action once again. The full-blown midgets will compete for $1,000 to win on Friday and $3,000 to win on Saturday. Each of their feature events will start 24 cars.
The race in 2009 also resulted in the largest field of midgets in the state of Texas in recent memory, as over 40 teams assembled. With the Copper on Dirt scheduled the following weekend (visit www.USAraceway.net for more info), it is possible to see more touring teams take on the USAC/SMRS series drivers, as was the case in 2009.
The ASCS2 Series will be on hand to kick off their 2010 season with the Winged Outlaw ‘Multi’ and Non-Winged ‘A’ classes (of what Cowtown fans know as the Winged 600’s, just without wings). With $1,500 earmarked to win for each ASCS2 division, there’s sure to be full fields of top quality cars from throughout the region, as was the case with both ASCS2 events at Cowtown in 2009.
Plus, the first ever visit of the ASCS2 Restricted 600’s will take to the brand new 1/6 mile “Action Track” at Cowtown, with the winner taking home a cool $1,000.
The always exciting Cowtown Modifieds will race their traditional Feb Fast 50 for $2,000 to win and $400 to start (24th). The race will be sanctioned by NCRA.
With a staggering $60,000 weekend purse posted, another huge field of 200+ cars is expected. Drivers are urged to pre-register for this event at the track website on or before 2/7/10 to receive pre-entry discounts. Pre-entry also allows you to receive a reserved parking space for your hauler in the pits. And it allows the track to publicize drivers that will be attending.
There is a online pre-entry discount for all race divisions that will save $25 off of race week pricing. Details are on the track website. Midgets do not have a pre-entry fee but must pre-enter to receive a reserved pit parking space.
Race fans, you can enjoy the entire weekend’s action by purchasing your 2-day tickets in advance at the track website by 2/11/10. 2-day adult grandstand passes are just $30, a savings of $5 off of race night pricing.
And the extremely popular “Fan Fest” returns to Cowtown Speedway on Saturday, February 13th from Noon until 1:15pm. Ticket holders for that day’s race will be allowed into the pit area during that time to meet with the race teams, get autographs, apparel, pictures and much more. The main ticket booth will be open at noon as well.
An open practice night for all race divisions will be held on Thursday February 11th from 5pm-9pm. Concessions and fuel will be available, and pit passes are $20.
Just click www.CowtownSpeedway.com for the event flyer, driver pre-entry, advance 2-day passes, track information and more.
Mark your calendar now to be a part of a great weekend of racing action, at family affordable prices with the Cowtown Midget Championships, Feb Fast 50 and ASCS2 Series opener all taking place February 12-13 at the Fastest Li’l Dirt Track in Texas, Cowtown Speedway!

Entries are streaming in for the Cowtown Midget Championships, February Fast 50 and the ASCS2 Championships set for February 12-13.
Just a reminder that car numbers are set by entry date, as well as pit parking requests. So if you have specific car numbers or parking requests due to the size of your rig, you should enter sooner rather than later.
The online pre-entry discount for this event runs through the weekend before the event, February 7th, and saves $25 off your normal entry fee.
Just click www.CowtownSpeedway.com for complete details and we will post an advance entry list to this race later in January.

Kyle Jones, 16 year old 600 mini-sprint division standout from Kennedale, TX, has signed on to drive the Bishop racing chassis, Autocraft-powered number 24J midget in the Cowtown Midget Championship race February 12th and 13th.
This will be Kyle’s inauguration into the ranks of SMRS/USAC full midgets, but with his many laps around the “Fastest Little Dirt Track in Texas” he should adjust to the potent cars in no time.
Kyle is sponsored by LenMar Motorsports, 2nd Opinion Auto Center, H&H Engines and Danesport. Pulling doing double-duty, he will also be driving the number 04 non-wing Sawyer/Yamaha in the ASCS2 division.
“I’m really looking forward to this,” Kyle said when asked about his first ride in a full midget. “This will be a learning experience, and we hope to put in some solid laps.” The Kennedale High School sophomore is putting in some evening hours getting the car fit to him and ready to race. “These cars sit quite a bit differently than I’m used to, but I’ll adapt.”
With Kyle’s goal of moving on to midgets and sprint cars at a national level, he is excited about the opportunity to gain track time with some of the best racers in the country. -------------------------- Event update:
Entries have been received for the Cowtown Midget Championships sanctioned by USAC/SMRS, February Fast 50 sanctioned by NCRA and ASCS2 Series Triple Header from Texas, Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas and Colorado at this point.

Cowtown Pre-Entry Deadline Nears for 2/12-13; Entries Surpass 100
Kennedale TX (1/29/10) by DarinShort.com. In just two weeks from today, approximately 200 race teams will fill the pits and take to the high banked ¼ mile dirt track of Cowtown Speedway when a triple-header weekend kicks off the 2010 race season.
The 2nd Annual Cowtown Midget Championship presented by City Vending, National Health Care Advisors and Sunoco Race Fuels will take place on February 12-13, 2010; and will certainly provide a weekend of wild racing action once again. The full-blown midgets will compete for $1,000 to win on Friday and $3,000 to win on Saturday. Each of their feature events will start 24 cars. The midget portion of the weekend is sanctioned by SMRS/USAC.

Drivers are urged to pre-register for this event at the track website on or before 2/7/10 to receive pre-entry discounts. Midgets do not have a pre-entry fee, but must pre-enter to receive a reserved pit parking space.

And here's the latest entries received, remember the pre-entry discount ends on 2/7, so take advantage of that if you can; plus it helps Bo to park you in the pits based on your rig size...cars that enter after 2/7 (or at the track) will not be on the parking chart and will be parked by the track as they arrive on race day...so please help us to help you by getting entered.

The Limited Modifieds put on an excellent show at Cowtown in these types of special events (and all season long, for that matter) and have always supported them strongly.
Bo told me last fall when we had well over 200 cars in the pits that we had to have one less class at these big shows as the parking requests and logistical requirements was too much stress when it got over 225 cars, so he decided to take them off this race...but added a third, post-season event that includes them during the Topless 100 weekend, and that event for the Limiteds will be the Performance Transmissions raceTX.com Limited Modified Championships presented by Sunoco Race Fuels.
Details on that event will be forthcoming this spring.
Each year, it seems that trailer/hauler sizes keep getting bigger and bigger - yet the current size of the facility remains the same. We should be right at 200 cars again for this show, and as long as people keep pre-entering in advance, we can collectively do what we can on our end to accomodate everyone best as possible...as of this afternoon there are now 148 pre-entries for this event, and the pre-entry deadline for parking requests, car numbers and $25 advance entry discount ends on February 7th...please click www.CowtownSpeedway.com to get yourselves entered if you have not already.
