Anytime I get red Lawton clay on me or my cars, I don't wash it off. Okay, I'll take a shower but that's it.

Drivers name was Jeff Heywood and I have that on tape. Kept endo-ing over and over again all the way out of the track down turn one. He drove once or twice a couple months after that but then retired. It may have even been in the famed Tamale Wagon #5. The year was 1985 if I recall. That was the year the late Sheldon Kinser busted his azz at the Devils Bowl one or two nights before and Larry Rice busted his up at 81 Speedway two nights later.
Dayum I miss them coming out this direction.
Answer to original question, hell yes for the sprint bandits at Lawton!

David, somebody took a violent flip in turns 3 and 4. 1985, I mean that car defied the laws of physics as if it had life of its own.

Well it was brought up and I am really wanting them to do this, I want them to see that people will come to this show. I think it would be a good show on that track.

yeah I would go.......but I'm 95% sure it would not be as good as the shows at SFS or Creek.
I think the track we should ponder watching the Sprint Bandits at is not Lawton - but Cowtown. Cowtown is as Lawton was. Lawton now is great track for modifieds - but sprint car shows there seem to have little of the quality they once had. It would be a non wing sprint car race - so yeah I would go. Who knows - maybe it would be different and it be an awesome show. But I can't honestly say my expectation would be very high. Non wing sprints can seemingly take even the worst tracks and make a show of it - but as tight as Lawton is - and how it seemed to get so single grooved so often......just wouldn't expect a whole lot.
But hell why not give er' a go.......its worth a try. Can't possible have enough non wing sprint car races in this state
How much would could a wouldchuck chuck if a

Speaking of Creek they have a date set for Aug. 19th and I am pretty sure the SFS show is going to be the 18th, though that has not be confirmed yet.
