When looking at the seating chart, which side is the finish line on?

I probably shouldn't comment because I'm not 100% sure but the way I see it it's on the right side as you're looking at the seating chart on your monitor.
It's not a huge issue and I don't want to whine too much but, I think they would sell alot more tickets in advance if you were able to choose where you could sit instead of being limited to a computer telling you what the "best available" seats are and not having a choice in the matter. What's the advantage of ordering advanced tickets ifyou can't pick your seat?
I know where I want to sit but if I order them ahead of time I will get tickets that are 10 sections from where I want to be. BOGUS!

Sorry that didn't make any sense. I believe the start/finish line is on the bottom of the chart as you look at it on your monitor.

I believe it would be to the east side. If you are standing on the entrance ramp to the track, the start/finsh line is on the right. At least it was last year. That is the same side as the main entrance to the building.

After a tough beginning, the organizers have probably learned a lot and according to the report from Danny Lasoski on Saturday's Racin Boys show they are making a number of adjustments.BUT----- the most difficult problem to solve would be the temperature inside the Kemper arena.
Last year the weather had the last word and because the exhaust fumes made it necessary to keep the doors wide open the experience was bitter cold.I had to pass on the second evening because I could not handle it.However, those that went to the second level to sit, reported that it was quite pleasant. They were even able to remove their coats !
So you might keep that in mind when ordering your tickets.
We hope to make it this year but will wait to purchase tickets til that evening.See you there !

Uhhhh.....I raced friday night (Lightning Sprints) and came back to watch Saturday night. I about froze my butt off on Saturday night also. I even went to the top of the seating thinking the heat might rise to the top. It was better but when the exhaust fans kicked in......It was still a b*tch. I left before the midget feature. The 600's took FOREVER to run their races. No two-spin rule drug their races out to the point of being stupid. I even tried going to the midget pit area to warm up ever so often. That might not of been a real good idea since it was one giant dust cloud in there. Coughed dust for two weeks. Anyway......I knew it was going to be cold so I thought I dressed accordingly. Wrong! I can't imagine anywhere where it was warm enough to take your coat off?
This year ought to be much better since the 600's can take all night this time the week before. I don't know what effect this "indoor" fuel will have on fumes? Doesn't seem like it made a big difference at the Chili Bowl to me. But at least the right people are making money selling fuel now. Having record cold that weekend didn't help either. Maybe this year, they'll catch a break?
With 18,000 seats available and none of them are bad, I wouldn't worry about finding a good seat......Move where you want after it gets going. There should be plenty of room.

Thunderbug...
Do you know for sure if you can choose your seats if you purchase the tickets at the arena on the day of the race? Thanks in advance.

I don't have the answer but I'm sure you will get the answer from someone more knowledgeable.

Has anyone else checked the pre entry list? There are not very many midgets or micros listed? From what i hear it all pays prettygood too! Did last years poor showing cause many drivers/teams to not choose to return?

Went last year on saturday. Boy was it cold. We bought reserved tickets there and sat wherever we felt like. Plenty of empty seats. Also paid $10? extra for a pit pass. Found out later a back gate pit pass was cheaper than a reserved ticket and you could go anywhere. Did I say it was cold?

I was told that heat should not be a problem this year. Last year the Kemper staff which was new did not know how to run the ventalation system in the building. This year they do, so doors should be closed. And I believe the start/finish line is at the bottom of the chart.
