Sam took the lead from 5th on lap 3 in the feature. He led laps 3-12 before Jason Hughes snuck under him. On lap 16 Sam went to the top around Hughes and back into the lead which he held until lap 18. There was a late-race restart and Sam was all over Hughes. Hughes was protecting the bottom so Sam was trying to go above the berm/ruts in turns 3 and 4. Unfortunately it bit him with 6 or 7 to go and Sam spun. We were beyond ecstatic with the results and if it ever stops snowing here in Houston we're looking forward to having another shot at the modified guys!

Yeah, we are having some kind of weather today. Should blow over in a few more hours, though.
And I didn't get a single good shot of him last night at all. I tell you, it was the roughest that I had seen the track all year. With this added moisture today, it only promises to be more of the same tomorrow night.
