The press release from CLS announcing that the UMP summer nationals would be a part of the 2010 Masters said nothing about teaming up with the IRA. CLS's tennative schedule does not list sprint cars of any kind. To top it off, Kankakee, IL has the IRA scheduled for the same weekend as the Masters. Does anybody have anymore info on this? I just can't believe CLS would not keep the same format from the last several years of LM's and 410 sprints. I thought it was working out great myself.

Nevermind, I just read Steve's post on the IRA website. Sounds like they are negotiating.
That's the last I heard. The reality is that there are some other series (not sprints) in this area that bring in 40+ cars and cost less than a 2 day IRA show. I have heard some rumblings as to what the track is looking into. If the IRA is not part of the Masters I have been told that they will be given a one day show sometime in June.
As far as not showing the Sprint shows on the preliminary schedule, they do that every year. The sun still rises and sets on Late Models over in New Richmond but hats off to CLS because they still give us Sprint fans some great shows. I'm sure we'll be seeing the IRA a couple of times including the Jerry Richert Memorial, the UMSS at the Billy Anderson Memorial and the World of Outlaws annual stop in early July. The IRA is locked into two nights at Elko and the UMSS will be running pretty often at Kopellah. Jackson will have their spring Sprint special and the Nationals and we've got the IMCA at Arlington plus all their JJ series races. I heard that they're working on adding some UMSS shows at a couple other tracks as well.
There's more Sprint Car racing around here than there is gas in my tank and hotdog money in my wallet. I used to moan about not enough Sprint Car racing and now there's more than I can handle. Not a bad problem to have.
