Which sprint CAR do you miss seeing at the track. Not the driver. The car.
My first pick would have to be the Blue Rudeen racing #26. That was a very sharp looking car.
|
The one that brought sprint car racing to its peak, Casey Luna's Ford.
Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

JMO, but I think that Karl Kinser's 11 driven by Steve brought sprint car racing to it's peak.....

The pearl and candy blue cars that Paul Leffler ran in USAC.
The double zero car that Tommy Dickson ran for Marsh Farms.
Jerry Blundy's Trevis car. It was beautiful in its slimplicity
While I am not a big Sammy fan, most anything he ran - especially the TMC car.
I guess this dates me due to the fact that most of these are from the 60's and 70's.

As much as I dislike his driving Sammy has had some awesome looking cars over the years.
The Channellock #1, The Hooters #1, The TMC #1
Guy Forbrooks #5 the first time that Lasoski was in it back in the late 80's early 90's
The Beefpackers #83 the 1st year that Lasoski wa in it was really sharp.
The 8d that Wolfgang drove in 89 was possibly the best looking car of all time.
