Be nice if Stevie Smith would at least be offered the ride, not sure if he wants to go back on the road, but to me, he's the kind of guy that could get that car going finally.

There were six drivers "offered" the ride within the last 5 weeks, with all turning them down. This info came from one of the team members of the 20. I like Jason S., but he would be the 7th driver offered the ride.

that would seem a tad unrealistic to me... i can't even think of 6 other drivers that would have/do have superior rides to TSR...

I wish Earl still did Eldora's track prep.

You would be surprised at the drivers that turned them down.."superior" rides might be in the eye of the beholder. Being part of a team is different than being part of a "machine" that races only because they make $$ on sponsorship and really don't consider the drivers input. Why not sponsor a car instead of trying to OWN everyone and everyting..that would be a nice surprise.

I hope Daryn Pittman gets the ride. As far as Tim Shaffer goes Janet Holbrook posted on PitGate that he declined the ride along with Stevie Smith. She did say a few others as well but couldnt confirm that so she didnt post their names.

Six drivers offered and refused. Someone is pulling our leg. Naughty naughty. My rumor is that Steve Kinser was offered and turned it down. Lots of great drivers out there. Probably will be someone with mostly wing experience.

well, all I can say is I hope Tony announces this soon, I would hate to have to throw away a new hoodie... cause if TW is driving that car I certainly wont be a public supporter of Smoke any longer. TW had his chance... HE BLEW it. I have nothing against him, but I do not believe being on the "road" is something this man can handle at this point.... Tony may spend his money how he wants,, as will I
