Just read on another forum board that Attica has scheduled the WoO Sprints for next year. This will be interesting...weekly guys are required to run Hoosiers and the WoO show up with Goodyear's. Wonder if very many of the weekly runners will spend the dough on tires for 1 night? Maybe the All-Star regulars (all 5 of them) will help fill out the field? LOL! This Goodyear vs. Hoosier thing should make for some unpredictable car counts for tracks that have always relied on their weekly program to fill up the WoO field.

When the WoO shows up, they run WoO rules.....so I'd think that if the WoO returns to Attica, it'll be on Goodyear tires.......
Chuck.....

I'm sure they will still pull the 40 to 50 cars like always do in Ohio. I would like to see a WoO Attica/Fremont weekend .... WoO vs. FAST. You would have a ton of cars.

Its not like tires last for several races so I don't see a problem at all. Don't they go thru a set of rear tires every nite, at least if they want to be competitive.
Lawlessness + liberalism = HELL - NYC, Detroit, Chicago,
Seattle, LA Who the H runs those cities.

Yes but, don't many of the front runners, be them All Stars, WoO or locals have tire deals with Goodyear or Hoosier and that will require them to pay full price for their non deal tires?

Great news! When you add in WoO, Knoxville, All Stars, FAST, Lerner/Sharon/Tri-State/Mercer we nearly have all 410 tracks covered. All we need now is PA Posse, IRA, NOSA, NorCal/GSC and Skagit.

I guess I'm more hard-headed than I thought... but I'm still thinking that the Goodyear mandated tires are not going to be the catastrophe all the keyboard commandoes proclaim it to be.
An example: I recall the Hamilton Motorsports (#77 to those with a short memory span) doing their annual sale a few years ago and selling what must have been 30+ tires. They likely had 30-50 tires in their possession at any time. Are they the only team with 30+ tires? Of course not.
Even our weekly team had on average 4 fronts, 4-5 left rears, 3 right rears at the track every night. Far from high dollar.
If you are going to run 1 time with the WoO... or any of the Goodyear tracks/series... of course it may be tough moneywise. UNLESS you are able to use your Goodyear left rear at another track.
How many serious 410 teams will have 1 chance to run the Goodyear all year? Come on. You'll have 5-10 chances... at least.
I don't see the 410 cars that dip into the 360 world crying and whining about "oh no... we have to buy an ASCS stamped right rear!" They know they'll get the use out of it.
Did it ruin the Posseland years ago when they had McCreary track tires? They actually bought non-track tires when the WoO came to town and ran and did well. The world did NOT end.
Track tire/series tire has been around for years... GET OVER IT ALREADY!!!!!!

Ok, ok - all very good points. I also ran a sprint car in the midwest and have dealt with the different tire rules of the different midwest 360 series.
I didn't realize that Attica / Fremont were also going to sign with Goodyear, that changes the whole point of my original post. Anyway, thanks for the comments guys...I'm heading over to Racinboys to listen to the Western World. Later....
