I see on IBRACIN's site they are adding dirt to Knoxville. I hope it works out better then the last time they tried this. Didn't hurry up and remove it after about 5 races in 2004????

I had alwas heard knoxville back in the day used to put blackdirt/gumboa clay (riverbottom clay) horse manure/ calcium chloride on the track. Also the track was turned over about a foot or foot and a half after every racing event and left open for rain to soak into the soil. The clay/dirt would stay tacky and wet and the manure would eat the rubber, and the calcium chloride would bring the moisture up when the sun went down.
