Approximately 50 haulers in the pit area for practice night at the 14th Annual Budweiser Oval Nationals. Several cars who have not pre-entered already here. Tomorrow, we should have more than the 61 cars that were here for the first night last year.

Marty Hawkins flipped but repaired. Butler done for week after his crash. Rickie Gaunt ran one session and is having neck issues so we parked the 72 car for the week as a back up for Coons. Track really good tonite. Should be great week of racing. D-rod

I also heard Brent Camarillo was having car troubles but the crew fixed it and I heard he was fast when he got back out.

Sad but true. Something broke and into the wall she went. Up until that point he was having a great night. scratch 2L from the weekend.

Darland looked really fast!

Bummer for Marty Hawkins. How much damage did he do to his car?

Marty's car looked about ready to run at the end of practice. I will be surprised if he is not ready today.............. I guess Darlands crew was trying a different setup when I saw him in turn four...looked like an accident waiting to happen at that time. Brady short was also super fast. Kaeding may have spent the life of his engine practicing what seemed like every lap he could. Kenny Perkins, having trouble with the rearend (2)Ray
