Just wanted to throw this out there for some input. The Turkey runs both Sat and Sun the 28 and 29 but with the final point's race at Perris on Sat the 28 it makes it hard if not impossible for some of the teams to make the show. My thought was maybe we could run a 360 only show. The last thing I want to do is not consider all the 410 teams that have supported me all season which I am very grateful for but the loss of car count on Saturday kind of hurts so at some point this for me has to become a financial decision. I realize just saying 360 only is not going to guarantee a better car count but I often hear some 360 stay away because of the 410. Well don't tear me up to bad just looking for some input. 80% of the sprints running your track this year were 410's...bad idea to screw them at the last minute....you want input ,I'll give you input ...run the sprint car race Sun. ..the whole race ..nobody wants to waste two days for one race..they definately don't want to pay for two days worth of pit passes to race for a single purse..also sprint car fans aren't interested in waiting through all the other classes to see the race they paid to see ..so set a dedicated time for the 'A' and perhaps you'll fill the grandstands,people will see a good race and be eager to come back next year

I have not towed my sprint out to VV because it is more of a 410 deal I feel I would be wasting my time. I would love to run the place it looks like alot of fun. Also splitting the show into two days is kind of a pain also.

The one day race on Sunday is a great idea I agree, the problem there is by Sunday the pits are pretty full as last year I had over 200 entries and the teams that did show on Sunday had a hard time just finding a place to park. Your other points are valid as well thanks Dan.

Oh and by the way Dan SCREW is a pretty strong term. For the record I have spoken to most of the teams that have been racing here this year most of which have understood my reasoning. Like I said in my first post I am very grateful for their support throughout the season. Thanks Mike

Mike please everyone do a Saturday 360 only full show sat. Then do a 410 full show on Sunday get twice the pit passes and twice the cars and twice the show for the fans. Just a thought.....

true....u really dont haft to brake the race into 2 different days...but if your going to make Sat a 360 race only ill be there....just as long as the rules "witch ever 360 rules you decide to use" are inforced without exceptions..
be sure to post rules ASAP

Mike ,I love finding solutions,tape off different areas of the pits for different classes of cars,,,then your staff will find it easier to convey changes in lineup ect. thoughout the weekend..plus the flow through the pits will be more predictibe..when the modifieds come off,everyone will know where their going -same with the sprints ect............St. John came over from Az. and drug his freinds with him,Gardners,Ripper,Wilson along with all the locals...their loyalty to your track gave you a consitant car count and some fine racing this year..to change the rules to void them from your last event..at the last minute...I'll stand by the term screw...by the way ..Brandon ,Keirce and Aden all won in 360 cars..sounds more likesome guys are afraid of Rippers boys-Wilson and of course the 'Bullit'

Well not the whole purse...... I was thinking more like the 30 to 40 extra cars and the 3 to 5 pit passes they bring would cover that but for the record I will donate 50 dollars towards a 360 purse should u choose to have 2 seperate shows.... Anyone else want to match that????
Mike either way you do it, it will be another great show at a great track!!!!!

more than 75% of your car count was 410's this year....
williams 2 cars
gardner 2 cars sometimes 3

lance butler
thats just 13 cars right there if you think you can get 13 other 360's to fill the void on your car count then go ahead and try the 360 deal. i dont see that happening and backing out on all those teams that have supported you all year, thats not gonna get on there good side for next year! jmo

Just a thought-what if you ran all the other classes on Saturday night and the complete Sprint show on Sunday thus avoiding splitting the field and the fans on Saturday. Fans (and cars too) that will be at Perris might make the trip to Victorville for a complete show rather than just the mains on Sunday. Why put the teams and fans that have supported Victorville (and Perris) in the position of having make a choice? jmo

I like the fact that things are "open comp" for sprints. I personally will not go to what I call a "pit pass" race. I feel if I am going to race two days I want to be paid for two days. The cool thing is that no one can point fingers and talk about a cheat. If you get beat, well it is just that, you got beat. Nicest race surface I have raced on his year except for Santa Maria. (maybe). Please work on your safety and good luck in the future. Ray

I like the 2 different shows, 360 on sat. open comp on Sun. 2 regular night shows. I would say more than a full field on both days.
Remember that the track may go dry slick on sunday so the fast 360 guys still have a chance on sunday.

If you get 20 360's on Saturday, Id bet you what ever money I might make that quite a few of them would stay for sunday sense they are already there, dialed in etc. Maybe make it so that the top two on Saturdays 360 race earn a starting spot in Sundays feature.
Maybe put up a thousand dollar bonus for a guy to win both days (in the same car)
Ill kick in the first $250 of that bonus

Wow, I love this. You guys are hitting on some very great Ideas. Keep em coming. I like the whole 360 on sat. and 410 deal on sunday. If you notice the 360s out there have no problem hanging with even some of the biggest 410's. Alot of them beat the 410s. This would probly be one of the best turkeyday shows there is. Come on Mike. This could really be "LEGENDARY". Last year was a little drawn out, and we waited forever to race. Like someone said earlier, SET A TIME for the Sprints, Tape off Areas in the pits, That way no one forgets when they go out.. These little Attentions to detail would make this a Great Turkey Weekend Race....

You could even throw out a bonus for the highest finishing 360 on Sunday, and a bigger bonus if someone were to win the 410 deal with a 360! If anyone has any extra money that is........ This year was a better year for us... maybe next year we will be able afford a little something extra!
