purestock - joe adams #2

factorystock - ramer #19

streetstock - kip hughes #1f

sportmod - travis johnson #86j

modified - tim donlinger #4d

sprints - #26 ????

It was a good show for the winter nationals, the track was actually in decent shape for being the 3rd straight racing day on it. Im amazed at the people who say they wont race there and then you see them racing there...Congrats to all the winners and see everyone next year.

Found Saturday:

Chickering wins modifieds at Winter Nationals

Alan Chickering easily wrapped up the win in the modified “A” feature at Enid Speedway Park’s 44th annual Winter Nationals Friday.

Chickering exploded off the pole and sported a strong lead when Jon Herring Jr. rolled to a stop at the top of turn four and brought out a yellow flag in lap eight.

Chickering hurried away on the restart with Brandon Kenny and Dustin Robbins in the hunt. Chickering ran a fast line — and undaunted by a late race caution — made his way to the winner’s circle uncontested.

Dusty Robbins posted second, trailed by Brandon Kenny, Kirk Coleman and Greg Burt.

Travis Johnson outlasted the field in the caution-riddled limited modified main to post the win.

There was mayhem on the start sending four cars crashing on the front straight. Officials red flagged the race to remove Terry Osborn from his car after the hard hit. He was transported to a local hospital with shoulder and arm injuries.

It was a drag race on the start between Johnson and Todd Decker. Johnson found the quick way around two laps into the battle and took the point.

Johnson set up a 10-car length lead and was skillfully lapping his way through the field when Ryan Hampton spun to a stop and brought out the yellow flag at the race’s midpoint.

Johnson continued his run when the race went green and boasted a straight-away advantage when Robert Elliott lost control and brought the caution back out in lap 16.

Despite two additional cautions, Johnson never looked back on his route to the checkered flag. Decker settled for second, followed by Johnny Rauschenberg, Jim Strum and Keith Estes.

Persistence paid off for Ryan McAninch as he posted the win aboard his Curtis Woods Drywall-sponsored street stock in the main event.

“I don’t think we were the fastest, but did what it took to win, we worked the preferred groove and the car was good,” said McAninch.

McAninch headed up the start of the race and had a solid lead when a caution flag flew for debris in lap six.

The restart tightened up the field and put defending Winter Nationals champ Travis Johnson on his bumper. The duo sped away from the field locked in a heated battle. McAninch held off a late challenge by Johnson to capture the win.

Johnson settled for second, trailed by Bud Longpine, Bobby Joe Scott and Ryan Miller.

R.J. Ramer found track conditions to his liking in winning the factory stock “A” feature.

“The track was slick but smooth and my car ran good,” said Ramer.

Pacesetter Ramer led the early goings, only to see the track come under caution the second time around. Ramer picked up where he left off and never looked back on his path to the checkered flag.

Damon Seiger, John Whitley, Terry Costello and Milt David rounded out the top five.

Mark Smith, the 2009 track champion, continued his reign over pure stock as he put his Mike Hoffman Photography/Rocket 104.7 FM-sponsored Chevy in the winner’s circle for the ninth time this season.

Smith raced off the pole with teammate Joe Adams in hot pursuit. A yellow flag waved in lap four as Mike Smith spun to a halt in turn two.

Smith resumed command on the restart and took over a straight-away advantage to the line. Darin Busch captured second trailed by Mike Smith, Korey Vendetti and Bandi Maxwell.

Modified heat wins went to Robbins and Austin Allen.

Heat winners in limited modified were Osborn, Decker and Johnson.

McAninch and Scott posted the heat wins in the street stock with Ramer taking the honors in factory stock.

Pure stock heat winners were Mike Smith and Mark Smith.

The final leg of the tripleheader will start at 2 p.m. today with heats and features in all five of the track’s regular divisions. Points will be tallied and Winter Nationals Champions crowned.
