That's forty-nine entries by my count, which means the count is probably forty-seven due to the back up cars entered by Cardey and Sheridan. See, I knew there was nothing to worry about; there will probably be at least sixty entries by November 5th, just like last year.

Steve Jones interview of car owner Dennis Roth, Tim Kaeding's car owner, before the Trophy Cup, Saturday night. He plans on bringing both cars to the Ovals and then will be at the Thunderbowl. Interesting...

I'm hoping TK can make it too...I'd heard that there was a chance it would just be Swindell.

Some others we might expect to be added, mainly from the Midwest:
Justin Grant - Baldwin 5
Bryan Clauson - Tucker 7c
Cale Conley - Benic 12B or Z1
Jesse Hockett - Buch 13
Keith Bloom, Jr. - 27
Chad Boat - Boat 30
Brady Short - Short 36
Jeff Bland, Jr. - Short 36R
Josh Wise - Riggs 37
Casey Riggs - Riggs 37x
Jerry Coons, Jr. - Ford 73x
Dustin Morgan - M&M 93

I've not heard about Robert Ballou or Darren Hagen.

I took Golobic off. He's just doing Tulare. Along with Sweet. I'm sure some other NorCal guys are just doing Tulare, too...

Add Chris Windom, Hunter Schuerenberg, and Kyle Larson to the list of those looking for rides.

In the interview with Dennis Roth, he indicated that Kevin Swindell will be in one of his cars and there are two drivers from Indiana interested in the other ride. One is involved in the national championship and the other is a regular back in the hoosier state. He did not mention names. As far as TK is concerned he only mentioned that TK had racing plans for Australia in December. Of course this was before he won the big $$ at the Trophy Cup. BTW, Roth donated his winnings to the event's charity - Give-A-Wish (hope that is right name).

I hope the defending champ will be here to defend his title....I think Cardey would like to have a shot at him again and be on the "other side" of things this time around (in the winner'scircle)

That checks out. Why wouldn't he show up to defend his title? Doesn't make any sense to me.

Short Track Nationals pays better. It pays $2,200 to start the feature. He's a professional driver - gotta chase the money!

Just heard today that Darren Hagen will be at both the Oval Nationals and the Pacific Coast Nationals (in different cars for each).

Now we just have to convince Jesse Hockett (Defending Oval Nat'ls. Champ), Tyler Walker (newly-crowned 'King of California') and the Kaeding family to grace us with their presence, and then find rides for Kyle Larsen, Robert Ballou, and Jon Stanbrough!

Money or no money, the man should still show up and defend his title!

It's all about $money$. Hockett races for a living and will be missed this year @ the PAS. Hope he does well with the barn door on top.
