If you'd like to get a taste of the action - both from the stands and behind the scenes, some video clips from the 10/24/09 WoOFest at Lone Star Speedway in Kilgore Texas are now posted.
Just click:

The featured video is a behind the scenes look of what WoO series announcer Johnny Gibson is coordinating and multi-tasking with the PA broadcast, live internet updates and broadcast.
It's pretty cool to watch him manage all of these different functions, seemlessly, at the same time.
Good, safe racing last night and the Hafertepe's went all out to make sure fans of all ages had a good time.
See you at the I-30 Speedway Short Track Nationals next week then back at Cowtown Speedway for the November Sprint Shootout on Nov. 12-14 as the www.SouthernMonthOfMoney.com 5-race swing wraps up.

Where was the Gibson "behind the scenes" clip? I didn't see anything but the race shot from the announce booth with a few glimpses of Johnny and his puter in the bottom of the frame ... didn't see any insight into his multitasking skillz.
If I may make a suggestion about your YouTube videos ... could you please upload in the proper aspect ratio? Seems like all your clips have tall, laterally squished cars ..... looks like you may be uploading video shot in 16x9 format to a 4x3 format encoding ratio.

Thanks for the tip, I'll check into the aspect ratio further. I recently picked up new equipment and don't have it all tweaked yet...and regarding the press box video clip, I was just going for giving people a look at what goes on there, as few get a chance to be in that position to view.
I think it would be neat for someone to do a documentary or special feature on the work that Johnny does, like on SPEED. There was someone from SPEED shooting there last night, hopefully there will be some professional clips on their report tonight.
I just post mine just for fun, as a lot of times I'm in a position to get some clips from places that have little or no video documentation, and to me, being able to view/review something from an event is better than nothing at all.

Thanks for posting the video Darin. Racing is done up here in the north. Weekends are pretty boring now.
