Eric Medlen is congratulated by a John Force Racing crewmember after a Funny Car victory last year in Sonoma, Calif.

God speed. Wonder how much Force will second guess putting his daughters in one.

Sincere condolences to the Medlen family and friends. RIP, Eric.

CD, I'm sure both John and Ashley knew going in that there is no such thing as a race car you can't get killed in. You do what you can to make it as safe as possible, but stuff occasionally happens to show the laws of physics haven't changed.

I'm glad there are those out there who believe the rewards are worth the risk to put on a show for the rest of us.

I hear ya CFan.

On the show he's always been worried it and this one really hits close to home is all I'm saying. I always thought the Indy Cars were the most dangerous thing on four wheels... I'm starting to think the straightliners might be now however. 330 mph is definitely pushing the limit.
