A couple of seasons ago some enthusiastic but novice sprint car fans began attending races at the PAS. Having more questions than answers we were thrilled by the knowledge and patience of a gentleman who knew it all and was more than happy to share. He and his lovely wife Maria befriended us and made us comfortable in our ignorance. Only much later did someone clue us in to who our mentor was. He may be an honoree at the 18th Annual Ca. Hot Rod Reunion but he will always be a friend to us and all that enjoy motorsports.
Congratulations Walt, we salute you! See you on Nov. 5. If we get there first we'll save your seats.
