19 drivers showed up for the O'Reilly/NCRA sport mod finale at the home of NCRA, 81 Speedway in Park City, Kansas.....Elliott showed the way at the start from his fourth starting position and led throughout.....Autry worked his way up from his seventh starting position and took over the runner up spot from Travis Johnson on lap 13......Last lap heading down the back stretch, Autry got a run up top and drove around Elliott and beat him into turns three and four and came out with a one car length victory.....Congratulations to Chad McNamara on picking up the first ever NCRA sport modified championship.....I will post full recap later this afternoon and post the story here.....I want to especially thank the following non-series regulars who made the tow to the finale, I thank you all - Jeff Autry, Travis Johnson, Randy Sallee, Craig Ridgway, Jim Stromee, J.D. Choate and Bobby Fiest.....Of course I would like to thank the following for perfect attendance through the eight shows: Chad McNamara, Donny Raney, Robert Elliott, Randy Thomas, Frank Graven, Mike and Nick Shenberger, Kevin Snow, Bob Mock, Walter O'Dell, Todd Decker and London Maddox. Without these drivers this division would not have been a success....I am personally glad to get to meet all of you and wish you the best during the off season and will see you at the annual NCRA banquet on Saturday night, January 28th. Details will be forthcoming.

Some pretty good racing, then oh shenburger taking out choate and looking at him like it was choates fault

Great racing all around. One of the best races I've been to in awhile. Lots of yellows? Heard Raney was light at the scales after wining his heat .Then claimed McNamara's engine after the race. Elliot was fast, saw the crew looking under the hood after the race heard he broke a brake line with a couple laps to go.and lost the brakes. Darn the luck.

I have to give prop's to chad taking that car out and doing what he done with it. He is a wheel man.not trying to take anything away from anyone i was in a good spot to watch some dang good racing.elliot's car handles like its on a rail.raney passed my in hot laps sounded like a late model.and the ol boy that won it where did he come from smooth driver and capitalized at the end.stinkburger...well he sucks give him an inch he takes a foot.but other than that a good night to be at the races,i hope the series continues to grow
