Just thought I would let the racers know, I'm deeply sadden to tell you that my dad Randy Wagler has passed away. Thanks to all of you who have already sent your thoughts and prayers. My dad raced 360 sprint cars at 34 Raceway in Burlington, Ia. in the 90's and won many track championships. He will greatly be missed.

So sad to here this. Randy and I became good friends back in the late 70's and early 80's at Knoxville. I will miss him at Oskaloosa and the Nationals. My condolences to Kim and the rest of the family.

Jesse,

Sorry to hear that. I remember several years ago at the Nationals a bunch of us raced go karts one day up at Des Moines. That was a good time, I remember your dad laughing the whole time racing them karts. Again sorry for your loss.

I have had some of the best times of my racing life with Randy (WAG). He loved our sport so very much and gave his all while racing. I will never ever forget the night I stopped out to the Wagler Ranch and stopped in. He was working on his motor and needed to get it fired before Saturday Nights races. He bet me, I couldnt use my 1998 Escort Wagon, to get it fired up, and I told him " Your on Wag! We pushed it out onto the gravel road in front of his house, then put a right rear tired in between my car and his #6 Sprinter. No lights, its almost 1am and we didnt want to get busted for disturbing the peace. I pushed it almost 45 mph and finally got it fired and he did a cookie at the end of the road and headed it back to the shop. We closed th garage door, while he let it run. It sounded so sweet. Wag was smiling from ear to ear and said, I guess I owe you. He walked over to the famous cooler and got me a beer and we sat there and bench raced half the night away. The very next day at 34 Raceway, Wag put his famous #6 Sprinter in victory lane as he had done many times that season. We will miss you forever Randy and all the great times we had at the track and your shop.

Please pray for Randy's family as this most difficult time.

R.I.P. (WAG)

Dad and I send our deepest sympathies to you and your family. Randy was quite a character, and always told a good story. He will be missed.
