Way to go Demon! Finally got that National win under your belt...maybe now they'll come easier...

With momentum and confidence on his side after the last National Sprint car race on dirt before the Oval Nationals, I'm excited to see if Damion can pull off another upset at his 'ol stompin' grounds.

It has to feel great to come back from an injury like his and get up to speed so quickly...it's like something lit a fire under him! (Okay, okay...that may have been very poor taste, but I couldn't resist...my apologies).

Congrats to DG and the team on a well-deserved and way-past-due win! Smile

GARDNER TAKES LAWRENCEBURG’S FALL NATIONALS $10,000!

Lawrenceburg, IN…….Damion Gardner of Concord, Calif. earned a paycheck for $10,000 Friday night at the Lawrenceburg Speedway, leading the final nine laps to win the 30-lap “Fall Nationals” USAC National Sprint race at the 3.8-mile dirt oval. Driving the Pace Lighting Eagle/Shaver, Gardner ran down leader Chris Windom on lap 22 and led the rest of the way to beat Cole Whitt, Windom, fast qualifier Jon Stanbrough and Kyle Cummins. Cummins led the first two laps and Windom led the next 19 before yielding to Gardner. Series point leader Levi Jones finished sixth and Dave Darland was 11th, leaving Jones with a 30-point lead going into Sunday’s “Oldtimers Weekend” race at the Winchester (Ind.) Speedway.
