As far as results - I think you should be really proud David. This entire year has been a huge leap forward as far as gettin results on here. P Nut keeps it flowing, Larry sometimes gets Brill on here, you post wherever you are (NCRA and etc.) - and you know wherever myself and Dirt Dale are - results and will be posted same night - recaps too at times. I'm probably even leaving some folks out. But it's been a great thing to see folks get involved - as this forum has always had updates (tidbits), conversation, and promotion of races - and now it finally has what actually happened (results) and with a quickness as well wink

And The Tidbitters spread out in fine fashion like a true network and posted results from all 3 races tonight (Lawton, BMS, and Port City).

NOW THATS REPRESENTIN'!!!!! Smile

Switching beats.
Most forums thrive off bullshit. redneck Jerry Springer variations of people actin' the ass. Yeah we have some entertaining threads - but there is more SUBSTANCE on this forum that the vast majority of others. Most other forums - one has to wade through a swamp of BS to find something of substance. HERE............ ON THIS FORUM - one has to wade through SUBSTANCE to find any BS.

David you've done outstanding with your site and this forum. and there are a lot of cool and classy folks here - and it furthers all the positives. It's amazing the amount of participation across the board - and seeing it just get bigger and bigger. even the sidelines (viewing) get bigger and bigger lol - which is cool too because someday -those folks will participate too.

now watch - I'll say all this and we'll get another Lawton Mini Stocks thread. LOL. ah it has its place too i suppose - for those on the sidelines of those threads - it's just downright hilarious.....for those involved - it must be more sinister lol.

ok enough reflecting. as a great band once said in a weird ass movie - The Shot Must Go On. Yep I rocked that band AND album on the way to Port City. anyone know what band I speak of?

oh yeah - if any fantasy players read this - I'm opening/posting the Shootout threads for Winter Nationals either reeeeeally late sat. night - or sunday. fine afterthought right? dam i gots to go to bed.

ironically me too Kyle lol. thats probably the year I remember the least of lol.

from then to now not all of it stuck though lol - but i still do like the music. Pink Floyd is good for a 2+ hour drive home - as is Coldplay. But the 2+ hour drive TO THE TRACK is primetime for Led Zeppelin.

of course i get creative and mix some Disturbed, West Side Connection, Nine Inch Nails, Do or Die, Kanye West, Radiohead, E-40, and Lynyrd Skynyrd in there as well. And some blues too - like John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters. I'm truly all over the place with music - just about anything but country.

Speaking of which - thats something I dig about Knoxville Raceway. Go to a Lanny track early - and you have to sit through not even good country (which to me does not exist) - but the most sad and depressing forms of it. I wouldn't be suprised with the country Lanny plays at his tracks to see people just spontaneously burst into tears and start crying. but at Knoxville - they play some wide variety before each race and they switch it up well. I remember them playing Motley Crue - Kickstart my Heart before one of their sprint A Mains and then Jimi Hendrix - Voodoo Child before the other.......and I remember thinking that was just about perfect. not just to me - but who could argue with those tunes. perfect songs for those moments i guess. of course - a track could just play nothing because spints firing off for an A Main to cap off a great night of racing is music to any dirt track fans ears wink

Hey, now, nothing wrong with a little twangy music. There is definitely some "good" country. lol! Yeah, a lot of it is tad sad (ha!), but that's life sometimes. But I do agree with ya', Fan, at the track, some good ole' jammin' rock-n-roll is the way to go!

I am country in the morning and rock in the afternoon and country there afterwards. Quite diverst in my music.

However, I am trying to find a way to hook up music on my IPOD, take it to our NCRA events in 2010 and play the begining of "Hells Bells" by ACDC whenever the cars get ready to come on the track for the feature finale. That is probably the coolest intro.

As far as country music during pre-race stuff? Only if I have embesseled Bud Lights from a drivers trailer when I am there on Friday nights. Country music and twain (and I dont mean Shania).

Of course UncleA's song would be, from Queen, "Fat Bottom Girls."

I've never seen The Wall, but love Pink Floyd. That movie is just too wierd for me to sit through. Shine on you crazy diamond is one of my favorites.

Hilarious pick of Marshala. Hey Cheese, you should see if you could get a band to sponsor you too. Nine inch nails might be taken, but you could get something SFS related like Puddle of Mudd or Insane Clown Posse.
