I will take the girl in the go-kart.
Looks like a racey little track, what size is it? Too bad it is a ton of hours from OKC area.

Yea, 7 hours, 425 miles is a bit much.
How 'bout that Kris Rye pulling over 500 miles, almost 9 hours from Corpus Christi to win that $3000 in Texarkana with a Limited back in August!

Butcha see, he got paid for it ($3000) worth and probably had a crew to help drive to and from. Me? All I have is my, myself and I and my imaginary friend.

Yea, and it sux when he goes to sleep on ya!
Well, for the guys who can make some money, here's another plan: Go for $3000 to win!
Make the tow from Texas to Warren, Arkansas on Saturday. It's a $2000
to win, one-day show for a $30 entry fee and $140 to start the A.
Now
on the way back, go through Shreveport to Boothill
Speedway where they are having a 2-day show paying $1000 to win and
$100 to start on NO entry fee. Qualifying is Saturday and last chance
races and features are Sunday afternoon at 2PM. You can start on the
back of a last chance race Sunday afternoon (behind the Saturday cars)
at no penalty.
The tricky part is, you will not get any hot laps
on Sunday and you will have to figure out a way to pass on the 3/8-mile
paperclip style oval after racing a well banked, 1/4-mile oval on
Saturday night (gear change??), in the daylight to make the show. Not
easy but not impossible but after pocketing $2000 why not try for
another $1000 on the way home? NO entry fee, $30 pit pass.
The
weather is supposed to clear out in time for both tracks on Saturday
but just in case something lingers in the area toward the northeast,
then you at least have a back-up with Boothill doing qualifying on
Saturday night and you can get a good starting spot for Sunday's $1000
instead of the weekend being a total loss.
What do you think? Am I thinking with my dipstick?....Jimmy....
