Very good racing to end the season. But I have to say if a kid cant get his licence to drive on the road, he probally shouldn`t be on the track. Kenny Allen took a cheap shot at a slide job taking Greg DeCaires out of contentions. Wiping out his front left tire. Then being a student of the sport he should have come to Greg after the race and appoligized. But instead stood in his pit like nothing even happened. I dont think this is how you gain your respect from your other piers and competitors. GOOD LUCK IN YEARS TO COME

Considering that Andy Gregg drove directly into him for the 2nd time this year on the start of a heat race, and has never apologized(you can see where he's getting his track side manners)

I didn't see the incident with GD(so I can't comment on it), but I have seen some borderline rough stuff from GD this year and it seems like the last few years he's lost a lot of respect for other drivers and thier equipment as well(what comes around goes around)

Andy Gregg seems to be pretty good at doing that. I have seen him, on several occasions, turn down on a driver, at the start of a heat race. Havent watched him this year at all, but last season, i can recall it happening twice, once at the Trophy cup.

Rough stuff from Decaires ? Well that statement in itself shows how little you know about racing .Greg not respecting other peoples equipment ?I have seen Greg follow people around for laps instead of just moving them (which he should have done )because he knew the guy in front of him couldnt hold a line and he wanted to get by cleanly . And you say Andy Gregg ran into this kid twice ? Well what does that have to do with him running into Decaires ?

why do u have to say negative stuff about kenny allen 24 country? from what i heard the track n placerville was really rough and bumpy and the cushion was really thick and their is no way kenny allen would wreck decaires on purpose to kenny allen is a very very good driver you need to keep your comments to yourself.

I read in another post that the A main had 14 red/yellow instances. Sounds to me like one of those rough track nights at P-Ville with lots of cars running into other cars.

Maybe it's just a result of the single file tracks that we've been getting the last few years, but I've noticed several drivers that used to be very smooth and respectful getting a lot more impatient and this has resulted in what I would consider rough driving. However, since our mostly incompetent officiating crew is afraid to call it; or even enforce some of the simplest rules, I guess I shouldn't be entitled to my opinion.

As for the Andy/Kenny and Kenny/Greg incidents, Andy and Greg were in team cars that look enough alike that while on the track Kenny could have thought that the 35 was the 53 and may not have shown as much respect for him because of the earlier incident.

If Greg is going to be in the 35 next year, maybe he should give some input as to who should be in the 53. Andy Gregg is and has been one of the most disrespectful drivers ever since he started racing sprint cars.

Now don't get wrong, I'm not saying that Kenny is completely innocent; there has been several times this year that he has looked out of control.

Hey if u think the officiating crew is so incompetent why dont you put on a radio and headset and try it out were always looking for new people to help us out swing by the white board during the fall nats. and ill get you set up and you can see first hand its not that easy of a job.

And you can ask any driver out there AG is pry the biggest improved driver out there in the last couple of years or so hes one of our top 5 or top 10 drivers we have he should be racing gsc he has raced 8 times with the series, 4 times he has been in the top 5 and 6 times in the top 10.

The 53 and 35 are not exactly team cars so idk y greg would have any say into whom gets to drive the 53 car when he doesnt have any stake in the team at all, the owners are really good friends is from what i have heard from people, the cars look nothing alike anymore so you must of not been around in a good month or so because the 53 has changed there design on the car.

Insightful statement from someone who likely never paid for a sprint car or a hospital bill.

Here we go again. It seems when someone does not like someone else, they are always ready to believe the worse about them. Or if it is "Your driver", it is always the other drivers fault. I did not see the slide job by Kenny Allen. I also didn't see Andy Gregg do anything and I have never seen Andy Gregg disrespectful. I heard people sitting around me make comments on several drivers on Saturday night but there were a lot of red and yellows at Placerville and a lot of contact on the track.

I'm not sure what you think the officials could do. Is every slide job gone bad to be called on? I have seen many drivers including outlaws perform bad slide jobs. Should slide jobs be allowed? I think fans/racing teams would be upset if the officials made a decision that one was bad and let others go.

Anyway, I hate to see this negativity on the board. We have three days of racing at Chico coming up so let's hope for good weather and racing.

Isnt all the negativity nice.... What is funny to me, is how quick people are to jump on others.. In this sport nothing happens over night... And the last couple of weeks for the 7K team has been one of steady improvement.... A couple weeks back at Petaluma Kenny was one spot out of making the A main.... Then we jump to Placerville, and the kid not only made the A main, but was running up in the top of the running order.... Is that why people start hating on this kid....

Hey blkbndt1976

It is quiet clear that your where not at the races last Saturday Night. So maybe you should keep your comments to yourself. By the way how can you tell if kenny allen did or did not run into greg if you was not there. As for a good driver the jury is still out on that. Remember he is just learning to drive.

"As for a good driver the jury is still out on that. Remember he is just learning to drive."

EXACTLY!!

I have shot Kenny at alot of tracks and races, I have never ONCE seen him make an aggressive OFFENSIVE move on another car...EVER

He does seem to loose focus now and then or make mistakes but thats part of his LEARNING process.

I have found this young man to be patient, respectful and an overal great kid. I for one think the sport needs more Kenny Allens in it!

As for not going over to talk to Decaires? I'd say that stuff is between drivers, They know how to work this stuff out.

I have never seen this young driver in action, but I would put more stock in a professional track photographer's opinion then almost anyone else. Nice post Steve and here's hoping Kenny Allen has a nice career.
