Is he slightly less aggressive after the horrible 2008 Eldora crash and compound arm fracture? Is he somehow getting less-equipment than Joey? Or crewchief not making right calls---all year long? 3 wins versus 18 wins. OR is he not easy to work with. I've seen him talking to people in pits, always friendly, but again there was the publicized bruhaha with his crew chief at Dodge City last year that almost certainly cost him a win. And I guess Kasey was OK with Craig staying in the 19 thru end of year as Craig requested he'd like to do, but it was Kasey's brother Willie who sort of said, "make the change now" and thus the call to Craig at the airport telling him they didn't need him in Eldora, that they were making a change immediately and put Sweet in the car. How old is Willie Kahne and does he have that much input at KKR.

Adding $6 trillion of debt in his 1st term and now if
elected again he wouldn't have to worry about an
electorate in 2016 so the sky is the limit. And his EPA
would continue to put the screws to oil drilling and
mining for coal. Can you say bankruptcy.

He used to take your breath away at times. He is not what he used to be.

Also, from what I can see Joey is about the only driver that sees the superiority of the Mopar. Way back at the end of 96 he and Brown Jr had the thing right in the hunt for Stanton. You have to believe in what you are wheeling. I think Craig is the typical guy out there that thinks you need a chevy Maxim to win. Mark and Danny both got bitter towards it as well for some reason and their performance faded at the end of their Mopar eras.

Huh? Craig is a hell of a driver, no matter what you all think. I myself don't know what the problem is/was but Craig was hand picked for the ride by Kasey himself. Yeah he had a tough wreck last year at Eldora but seriously are you saying he's scared? Bullshit! He had a lot of good runs since his return but you gotta to have shit go your way, good time trials, get second in your heat and make the dash etc..... I believe Craig to be one of the top drivers in the Country for winged 410 sprint cars, I have since around 2001, nothing has changed that. It was obvious from the start there was something wrong with the team, they had made change after change and I thought they finally got it going myself the last couple of months, but what do I know? Craig might had made it clear he wasn't happy with whatever the situation was and someone finally bit the bullet. Whatever ride he gets in, Craig will be at the front.

Someone once told me that the easiest thing to change on a racecar has only 4 bolts. I remember asking whats that, they told me the seat.

Good luck Craig you can come back to Cali anytime!

The older I get, the faster I used to be.

Sometimes it's just that the chemistry isn't right and you can't put your finger on it.

the crash at Eldora didn't bother him Friday night when he was riding the wall at the IRONMAN 55. Then he came back the next night and finished 2nd AFTER sharing info with his teammate Joey who won. For those of you who haven't been to I-55 it is a tough track. Dollansky was on the cushion/wall all weekend. For someone who was taking it easy he looked pretty damn brave to me.

I don't remember Saldana and the 75 being very good. Anyone have the stats on starts/wins/top 5's? Minthess- Did Chevrolet screw you on the gas tank voucher lawsuit several years ago or something? Everything you post is anti-Chevy. I would be interested in Saldana's stats in the Stanton 75 and were they with the outlaws or all stars?

I'm not nearly as anti chevy as our sport is pro chevy. I don't want all Fords or all Mopars like everyone wants all chevies. Saldana ran all WoO races. If my memory serves me, he was a top five threat just about every nite right before we lost Davey Jr.

55 a-mains

5 top-5

20 top-10

Wouldn't call it a top-5 threat every night.

Thanks for the facts. I didn't intend for the post to pinpoint Joey's exact detailed stats for 1996. Certainly not the point I was trying to make. He did do a lot better in the car than anyone else untill Karl made it fly.

What Happened? ask the likes of jesse hockett, jeff sheperd, jason johnson and now dollansky, if you're not in the 9 car, they don't give a rats ass. I predict Brad Sweet will follow them out the door in due time

I beleive Hockett and shep plus maybe a few more were in the 9 not the 19. This was before the 9 was the 9.

I'd be surprised if the Stanton 75 won a single race with the Outlaws when "young" Joey drove the car, although they did give out some really nice large 2' x 3' Mopar sprint car posters w/Joey and the sprint car on it. The car was only slightly competitive when Joey was driving it. They were not getting any help from Mopar at the time, Stanton, on his own dollar was doing all the heavy lifting to make the car good. Then of course Mopar jumped in with a couple new engine designs and Mark/Karl won a billion races for them.

the driver is the only thing on the car not bolted in or attatched with dzus fasteners. just one quick release lever and they're outta there.

I don't think the steering wheel is bolted in or attached with dzus fasteners. LMAO

I remember Joey driving the 75 car at the Kings Royal around 1996, for awhile it looked like he was going to win it!

"....the superiority of the Mopar"?????? You're trying to be funny, right? So, all of the non-mopar teams are just pissin' in the wind with their inferior Chevys? Everyone else is simply missing the boat, wasting time, running junk, out there just burning alcohol? There is a reason only 1 team runs mopars and everyone else isn't. Look at the history, do a little research, and figure it out. (Hint: It isn't because of the superiority of the mopar).

Call me crazy but I've always thought the car with the most WoO wins means its at least one of the superior cars in the country. Is there some other much tougher series I'm not aware of?

Now you're saying the car is superior. Which is it, the engine or the car?

So you think that because the car with the most wins makes the engine in that car superior? You don't have a clue!

Where is this car in the points? If it's superior, then it must be in the point's lead. But,.....it is not!

And yes, there is a tougher series you're evidently not aware of. If you don't know, then my point exactly!

Enlighten me please. Which sprint car series is tougher than the World of Outlaws?

One of the biggest reasons Joey is behind in the points is because they put a chevy in the car one night and finished in the back of the consy.
