Congratulations to Blake Miller, Jeff and Jack Gardner, and the entire crew on the fifth win in a row at Victorville Auto Raceway tonight! Another dominating performance over a full field, which by the way has become quite the tough group of competitors over the last several races at the fast clay bowl.

In addition to the regular shoes, including the Williams boys, Solberg, Aden, Wilson, and the others, it was a pleasure to see both Bruce St. James and (the other Bullet) Bob Ream Jr. make the long tow from Arizona to give our local boys a run. Don't know what happpened to St. James, but he dropped out early with some sort of leak. Bullet Bob got as high as second with two laps to go, then slipped high in turns three and four and settled for fourth (I think). Both looked great and had a lot of fun.

Another neat surprise was the the 'ol No. 39 (also entered by Team Gardner) with none other than Billy Felts Jr. behind the wheel...cool to see him back on the track!

Ronnie Gardner continues to get faster and smoother each week. It has been a blast watching him get more confident with the car and in traffic each race. He ran up front all night, leading the first ten or so laps, before settling into third behind Aden at the checkers. At this rate, he'll be collecting the winner's share real soon! Great job dude. And congrats again to the Gardner camp.

The sprints ran after the modified A-main tonight (which is different from the norm). I think there was one yellow (not counting the restart before lap one) and one red. The checkers waved for the sprint cars at 9:10 pm. I was home in Riverside by 10:15...very nice.

Great weather (85 compared to 107 at my house), great crowd (best people around), great food (I paid $6 for a hot dog, chips, and a drink), and great ticket prices (free parking and $10 to get in).

I always go home from that place with a huge smile on my face!

We had a good time last night. I enjoyed the track as well as the racing. Very fast and provided several lanes for racing.

Tom...you looked good last night, didn't take too long to knock the rust off! Hopefully we'll see more of you again soon. By the way, I was sitting behind your wife in the stands last night. What a great looking kid you guys have! As soon as I saw them, I remembered how she used to take donations of used clothing to give to children in need up in Central California. I asked if she still does that, and she said that she would definitely make sure that any contributions went to a good place. What she is doing for those kids is awesome. I wanted to bring it up in case anyone has some items they could bring to the next race you'll be at down this way. Please let us know when you're planning to tow down again. Keep up the good work on and off the track!
