To add to the big open wheel shows going on in the state this weekend......

I-44 Speedway has definitely made theirs quite a bit bigger. The I-30 Mini Sprint Nationals rained out - and to fill the void for many a race team lookin' to turn some laps.....I-44 Speedway has restructured this saturday night's show - much to the applause of both race teams and fans.

They have added Outlaws (Multi's) to the program. With a pretty damn big purse that gets bigger and bigger the more cars they have. With I-30 raining out this weekend - and the sweet purse they have put together - I think they will get a big field of em. They have also added money to the restricted class. And will also add 500$ to the purse of any class with 25 cars or more.

So it looks like 4 classes (the best 4 imho) will probably have well over 20. Multi's. Restricted. And then Non Wing and A Class (same thing but A Class runs a wing) will probably have well over 20. They usually get about 25 in each class anyway - so they could have even more saturday. And turf tire, mini stocks, and kid sprints to boot. They usually don't get a big field in those classes - but Ft. Cobb is done for the year so that should add some shoes to all classes. The kid sprints are actually extremely entertaining there - more times than not - there will be 3 of them of vying for the win on the last lap.

Anyhow, looks like a great show shaping up at I-44. For anyone who has never been to I-44 - check it out this saturday. It should be a hell of a race. And especially for you Kenny Mossman, if lacking the time make it to either Ada or Creek....you should come check it out.

I've been to near 60 races this year. And the top 3 races I have seen this year were all there. Of the near 15 times I have attended I-44 this year - only 1 show was sub-par and it was one of the first shows under the new promoters - who every week since have put GREAT surfaces together. So I want to say - and think I can say with confidence.....you won't be disappointed.

btw - huge thanks to promoters Kirk and April Berkeley for putting together a STRING of great shows for the remainder of the year. Several full weekends of racing - as well as a big Winter Nationals at the end of October. It's already been a great year for I-44 - and to have all these weekend doubles and ASCS2 and Winter Nationals still to come - it's a great way to cap it. Thanks again to the Berkeley family.
