Then this could your lucky year! If you've tried less than 10 race nights at the USMTS Featherlite Fall Jamboree in Minnesota and have not made an A main yet, then this might be the right time to do it. Your eligible one of several 'Rookie of the Jamboree' awards! Check it out:

Top finishing rookies will get a cash award each night: Thursday – 1. $100, 2. $75, 3. $50; Friday – 1. $200, 2. $150, 3. $100, 4. $75; Saturday – 1. $300, 2. $200, 3. $150, 4. $100, 5. $75. If an eligible rookie can win the “A” Main any of the three nights, a $1,000 bonus will be paid (limit one bonus per driver over three days). These awards are in addition to regular payouts.
Now this race already has a loaded purse vs. entry fee ratio. With an entry fee of just $250 postmarked before September 21st, not only are you guaranteed a minimum $350 back as long as you race all 3 days, but you can now also add $200 to that if you are one of the ten longest tows. And naturally, you'll be aiming to make one of 3 A-mains so you can collect way more than that. Thursday feature pays $2000 to win and $300 to start. Friday's feature, $4000 to win and $350 to start. Saturday's finale pays a whopping $6000 to win and $700 to start PLUS there's a non-qualifiers race that pays $2000 to win and $300 to start and all 4 of these features start 30 cars! (28 spots open to qualifying in each of the 3 A-mains plus two USMTS provisionals) And trust me, starting 30 cars is not a problem at Deer Creek Speedway -- they do it every year. At least 60 teams will get a minimum of $300 just on Saturday alone with another 30 getting a minimum of $700! Can't beat that! Each night is an independent race with it's own qualifying (Draw for heat race, passing points and B mains each night) and payout.
AND...

Call in your entry between 9 and 5 this week and ask for the 'Hook's Bonus' when you do and they'll knock a little off of that entry fee too!

Some of you can make this deal and some of you want to make this deal but if you can and want to make it, come on...you will NOT be disappointed in the track or the show!!!

Need an entry form? Right click on the one below and see if you can print it or just click on it and it'll take you to a PDF file on the USMTS website.

Fill it out and then you can call it in at 515-832-7944 or 515-297-3870. The entry is $250 if postmarked by the 21st (Monday) but if you call it in or bring it with you to Wednesday's practice at Deer Creek and ask for the Hook's Discount, they will take some off of that!

If you didn't know it already, you can enter each race night individually too.

Maybe you can't get off work until Thursday or Friday. Or maybe you can make Thursday and Friday but you have another track to race at on Saturday or perhaps it's that big anniversary date or big football game that you have tickets for. Whatever the situation there are options....

Race Thursday only: Entry fee at the gate** will be $100. Pays $2000 to win, $300 to start and $50 back to non-qualifiers.

Race Thursday-Friday only: Entry fees at the gate** will be a combined $225 but the races pay a combined $6000 to win and $650 to start. Combined $100 back to non-qualifiers.

Race Friday only: Entry fee at the gate will be $125.** Pays $4000 to win, $350 to start and $50 back to non-qualifiers.

Race Friday-Saturday only: Entry fees at the gate** will be a combined $300 but the races pay a combined $10,000 to win and $1050 to start. Combined $150 back to non-qualifiers*. That pays better than most 3-day shows that are happening around the country right there! (*Not eligible for Saturday's non-qualifier feature.)

Race Saturday only: Entry fee at the gate will be $175.** Pays $6,000 to win and $700 to start. $100 back to non-qualifiers*. (*Not eligible for Saturday's non-qualifier feature.)

Of course, the best deal if you can make it, is to race all 3 days. Entry fee is just $250 if you enter now.** Guaranteed $350 back if you race all 3 days. And you're eligible for the extra $200 long tow award if you are one of the 10 longest tow cars and you will also be eligible for a shot at Saturday's $2000 to win and $300 to start non-qualifiers feature!

**Call in your entry fees at 515-832-7944 or 515-297-3870. The entry is $250 if postmarked by the 21st (Monday) but if you call it in or bring it with you to Wednesday's practice at Deer Creek and ask for the Hook's Discount, they will take some off of that! No matter what option you select. There may be a discount so call!
