I talked to Rich Toews about an hour ago, and he pretty emphatically denied that the team is currently up for sale, or that they definitely will not be running next season. According to him, the engine sales are part of getting a jump on making room for next season's package, while they may or may not sell the trailer.

OK FOLKS: I am unclear why or when any of this is YOUR business? You are not Tod or Terry and they are the only folks that have a part of this drama! I am begining to question if this board is about Sprint Car racing or another version of the "Young and the Restless" or whateveer soap your wife records on her Tivo? WOW maybe I am getting to old for all this drama. Just drop the Green flag and let the BEST person WIN.

It's the unfortunate by-product of this board now.

Too many ignorants seeing one thing (in this case a classified ad) and instead of using common sense to let it play out, they run to the nearest message board(s) where anonymity fuels even more ignorance.

When stuff like this pops up, makes me kinda miss the days of the Cubic Dollar / Hawker / MSPN / JackHole and Big Right Rear's rants and counter rants...

i didn't figure there was anything to it since there was nothing even close to an Official word and they had such a great summer.

didn't someone post in another thread that terry made the comment that todd may sell out and terry could be running a casey's store for all he knew. not exactly quelling any rumors with statements like that. when the cage gets rattled regarding the mccarl racing program or about terry personally, someone from the inside usually speaks out immediatly to set the record straight. for some reason that did not happen. so this topic was given legs from the inside as well. so is there any info on what the teams current plans are or where they will be racing? has there been confirmation that t-mac is still in the car? has anything changed?

how many times have we heard "so and so is my driver and will be my driver", or "we will be racing the whole season" from people right up to the time the driver is let go or the team pulls off the road? rumors are rumors, we all know that, but some usually credible sources had pretty much confirmed this thing was done, and i agree some usually vocal sources in the know have been strangely silent recently.

I think we are getting a smoke screen here.....why would TMAC get on a radio show in Huset's stating that Tod is thinking about selling the team? Why would TMAC be selling his t-shirts and sweatshirts for $5.00? That move is usually left to someone that has lost a ride (or has been told that the end is near).

There is more to the story than what we are getting. This may be a team for the remainder of this year but I am not convinced, by reading this press release, that this team stays together next year.

Y'all gotta remember that Terry's favorite passtime is stirring the pot! Just look at all the attention he and the team have gotten since this hit the rumor mill. Not saying it was orchestrated, but T-Mac knows how to make use of most any situation that presents itself!

Thanks Rusty! I sincerley hope T-Mac and this team stay together for a long time. It's Iowa's best chance for a Nationals winner! Unfortunately rumors and negativity are part of the msg board world. You just have to weed out the b.s. and not let it bother ya.

something is gonna happen. ive been in the game long enough to know that when someone is rumored to be gone it is pretty well certian. i heard about shane stewart, tatnell, pitman, and shaeffer long before the axe was dropped. mark my words tmac will NOT be driving the big game car next year and the dude will not be driving the caseys car.

So I guess the bottom line is that when I see Rich tomorrow $20 will get me three t-shirts for the grandkids and a sweatshirt for myself in case it gets cold around the campfire?

Big Game is making room for new motors and such but there will be no Terry in the fold for 2010.
