There were alot of people in the stands both sat. night and sun. nite who saw a kid race for the first time without a wing and were very impressed. The kid has got talent and to run your first race wingless at the fastest track u compete on and really put it on the guys who do it week end and week out. He impressed alot of very knowledgeable people who were sitting in front and back of me ( car owners). Its too bad that Marcel wasn't there to see it.

Yea ... I was impressed with him, Kyle Hirst and that Bloom kid from Chico.

They held there own, considering their lack of non-wing half mile experience....

Bloom was rim-riding like I have only seen Chuck Gurney and the Wild Chid do at Stoga!

Yea... where was Marcel????

Kyle had greats runs both nights, he reminded me of Hockett the first time he showed up at Manzy in a non wing car...All the guy's were very impressed with Kyle Larson, including myself. I'm sure this was who moolie was referring to in his post.. but Bloom wasn't rim riding, he was jumping the cushion.LOL. To say that Bloom was driving like Gurney or Jac is just absurd. When he crashed out Saturday I mentioned on the SCRA forum that "it was damn lucky he didn't take anyone else out with him"... I got responses like these>> " I said the same thing to myself. There were a couple times when I was holding my breath; very dangerous, and " He had the left rear off the ground going into one a few times during hot laps...scary indeed." I've been around the best of the best for a lot of years, with most of it at Manzy and Ascot, and that kid Bloom was not in control a good portion of the time. Brave, I guess; but to put him in the same boat as those guy's is just ridiculous.

I'm pretty sure he is refferring to Kyle Larson in the 83v. Kyle Hirst was there too but wasn't quite as impressive as Mr. Larson who was battling up front both nights before misfortunes both nights.

Saw him both nights and very impressive. He had the crowd behind him all weekend. Just think if he was driving one of the top notch sprint car, could you imagine what he could do with that. The team he is with seems to be under budget but he sure can drive their sprint car and put it where it needs to be on the track.

I've seen him race this year's Chili Bowl when he was subbing for a driver who got sick and again for just jumping in the midget with no hot laps, pushed out for his heat, had to start last-8th because of the driver change and he finished 3rd. He is one of those drivers that can drive anything he gets into. Love to see someone taking him to the next level.
