They're BACK!!!!

7th Annual AMP Outlaw Winter Nationals
Indoor Short Track Points Series
Produced by AMP

Opening Round Saturday night October 3rd, 2009
Historic OK Corral Indoor Arena
Harrah, Oklahoma - 20 miles East of Downtown OKC off Interstate 40

Side by side Indoor Short Track Racing

We run Rain, Shine, Hail, Wind, Ice, Snow... It's Indoors!
Bring a Buddy, Tell a Friend, Let's Go Racing!

Hot Laps 5:30pm ~ First Green Flag 7pm

http://ampown.com

It is called Indoor Short Track, Dirttrack Racing. Bar banging, sliding, wheel standing adrenaline junkie get it on a indoor action.

For the Indoor Races we allow knobbies on the Pit Bikes. Actually a big motor is not always the best for these tight tracks. Many of the faster bikes are Frankenstein creations of a mix of salvage parts.

Pit Bike Class rules require a non-cradle frame. There are two classes Maximum 10" Rear Wheel and Maximum 12" Rear Wheel. However, most the KX-65's are raced by the youth class competitors.
Karts can be as simple as a Wal Mart Yard Kart with a 5hp Briggs Clone, up to a twin engine full blown racing machine.
Mowers must have the decks and Blades removed for safety, stock appearing mowers are okay, but the faster guys modify the suspension, lower the axles and run bigger carbs. Tractor or Rear Engines are allowed. Stock, Modifieds, Singles and Twin classes are offered.

Come join the fun !

Everyone racing and or entering the Pits must have a pit pass wrist band.

Pit Pass $20 All Ages
Adult Bleacher Seats $15
Kids Bleacher Seats $5
Kids Bleacher Seats Under 5 Free

Competitors Entry Fees:
Pro Classes with Points Fund $35
Money Classes no Points Fund $25
Select Division Money Classes $20
Amateur Classes $10
Pee Wee Classes 1st Class Free + $10 for Additional Classes

Rules: See AMA Racing - Track Racing Rule Book http://www.amadirectlink.com/rulebooks/ ... ersion.pdf
Admendments to these basic rules, and Kart Rules are on our web site: http://www.geocities.com/oreillydirttrack/

Difficult to make the sandy dirt much smoother than we have. Jerry the new tractor man has a couple of ideas to make it a bit smoother.

Biggest problem we face is the horse folks seem to always want to ride on the dirt on Friday night after the owner waters the surface, leaving giant horse hoof depressions.

Those are impossible to remove without the use of a Road Grader. Should someone donate a Grader/Operator for Saturdays we could make it pool table smooth. Took me two weeks to locate someone with a tractor/boxblade for hire in that neck of the woods. Pretty desolate over there for tractors I suppose.

If we can keep the horse people off the surface Friday nights after the dirt is soaked with water, it will be much smoother.

If we used all the profit from the races for the last 4 years we could purchase one of these puppies. Smile Not sure one could make the turn inside the arena with this length, but a nice design.

Cool,

Harder packed and smoother the better.

Far as I know Jerry frion Shawnee will be there with his tractor to work the dirt and rip it up at night's end. I'll send you a text message regarding dates.

I will have Frank check with his construction associates to see if there is a sheepsfoot nearby the arena. May be one, two miles East on S.E. 29th on the north side, at a heavy equipment yard, not sure of the name of that outfit.
