Very Good racing both nights! Cant wait for next year.
Tickets need to fix! Res tickets next year please... So we can enjoy nice dinner/wine somewhere on Lincoln St in Calistoga cuz We have to get in long line at 3pm and wait for two hours for gate open. Saw some fans got into argument/fight over the seats.
Question:
Why we didnt see Mike Benson's Famous Calistoga sprint car #77?
Surprise! I didnt see any Cory Krusemen's cars there. Why? I heard Cory raced with VRA last Saturday.
Bill Rose??
Jason York?

For some reason Cory is very loyal to Ventura Raceway I have seen him miss selected CRA races in the past to race at ventura.

Benson lost his one and only 410 at Knoxville. That kid needs a motor sponsor.

The #12 midget driven by Alex Schutte is a Kruseman car. He finished second place on the first night.
Alex was fast qualifier and finished fifth on the second night. Plus he won the week before in Bakersfield.
He is a good driver that has had some bad luck this year. But with the last two weeks, it looks like he is starting to get his race on. It looks to me that Alex is starting to show how good of a driver he is.
Props to his crew chief Mike Evans for a fast, well prepared car. Thanks to Cory Kruseman for giving Alex the opportunity to race one of his cars at a great race track like Calistoga. Good job by the whole Schutte team.
Kenny
Cover your beer, the race is on!

First off, yes I to agree about the great racing. I would agree with reserved seating as well but the down side is we may end paying more for admission. As Chad said, Benson day lighted his one and only 410 at Knoxville.

Everybody that I talked to at the races said that they would be more than happy to pay a little extra for reserved seats. I have been going to Calistoga for 30+ years and we never had the 2 or 3 hour lines to get in because we had reserved seats or season tickets. We were lucky that we had mild weather for the weekend or we really have had a problem with the long lines.
There were many confrontations and arguments because of the blanket issues and we will probably see fist fights unless USAC/CRA and the Napa County Fairgrounds get together to fix the reserved seating issues.
This seating issue gives a big black eye to an otherwise GREAT event and it must be resolved before next year.

LGHoser, I'm all for reserved seating. If it cost a couple of extra bucks I'll still be there. As far as making this happen it's in USAC's hands not the fairgrounds. USAC leased the facility's for the event.
