It is official, schedule to be released very soon. Brad Doty and Bobby Gerould will be doing the commentary.

I hear it's pay per view. As soon as DIRT pays, we get to view...

FWIW, the SPEED logo has already shown up on the WoO website
schedule for the Eldora race of 4/14. So it looks like that will
be the first of the 12 SPEED events.
The ESPN2 schedule for the "Summer of Money" events was published with the original press release.

Is there a program that shows "weekly" sprintcar highlights? I have watched "Wind Tunnel" for the past 2 weeks because they use to show WoO & other highlights but haven't seen anything about sprintcars on.

There is no mention of it on ESPN2's TV guide... http://sports.espn.go.com/espntv/espnGuide or anywhere else on their website.

Normally I stay out of this never-ending pissing and moaning match, but Hawker's agenda is too easily seen here to miss.
If you follow the link he provided and try to get as far out as you can on the ESPN2's calendar, you can't go any farther than 4/29. The first WoO broadcast on ESPN2 is scheduled for mid-June. Of course you won't see it on ESPN2's guide yet...you can't see anything that far out! I'm also not surprised by no mention of the WoO on ESPN's website. They don't normally cover short track racing on their website. They show an occasional dirt late model race and also show tractor pulling on a semi-regular basis, yet I bet you'd be hard pressed to find mention of those events aside form the schedule.

Hawkers agenda is getting to be old sh**, but in all honesty, as a fan, has TV made attending the races anymore fun?
When a race is made for TV and the racers follow THEIR time schedule, all it does is screw the fan that actually paid to watch the race.
from the looks of the crowds at about everyplace I go, it looks like the tracks had better get their act together, get the kids back involved, start the races on time, finish the races by 10PM and make the races a fun place to go , THEN worry about the Television.

Those shows will get done before non-TV shows because they will need time to edit their content to fit the hour. Not much turn around time from late Saturday night to their airtime on Sunday.
Just speaking from experience that taping for TV does not require added time of the actual race.
I can't wait to see Bobby and Brad together. Awesome Team!

Rod, you have to admit that LIVE TV sucks however for the fan in the stands.

Nodust - We can probably all agree that live broadcasts are not the best for everyone; the fans in the stands, the fans watching the broadcast, the network, whoever is paying the bills, etc.
However, I do think a one-hour, tape-delayed, edited broadcast is exactly the kind of thing that will help attract kids and adults alike to the sport of sprint car racing. And it should cause minimal if any disruptions to the event itself.
The best of both worlds and a positive for our sport.

I can say I was first introduced to the sport on TV, I saw sprint cars on what was then TNN now Spike. I was in to boat and motorcycle racing at that time. Now I am a huge fan of sprints. TV = good for teh sport no matter what fashion. I agree a taped delayed show would be best all around though.

I like the tape delay as long it is w/ in 24-48 hours of the race. I think that is the plans of ESPN2.
Go to Daryn Pittman web site, there is a schedule on the right hand side that has ESPN2 's "Summer of Money" w/ SPEED's TBA races.
