Congratulations to Kevin Swindell, who takes night one over Mitchell, Miller, and Bobby McMahan (who started 20th...first time in decades without a wing)!

I was watching from home via the live feed. Definitely one of the best races I've seen this season. I only wish I could have been there to see it live.

The young guns were impressive, including Kyle Larsen, who got up to the top three in the closing laps and then jumped the cushion on the last lap.

Kudos to the Beef Packers team, who now have won two opening nights in a row at the Louie Vermeil Classic!

Big thumbs up to Blake Miller for setting a new track record tonight (19.33). Shannon McQueen also set a new track record in the midgets (20.48)...only a second off of Blake's sprint record lap.

Congrats to Kyle Larson on a great run last nite.

He was smooth as usual and methodically worked his way up from 15th to as high as 2nd using every inch of the track.

Too bad he jumped the cushion late, but it was still a great run for his first ever 410 non wing race.

Watch this kid, he is the real deal.

I agree, Kyle Larson looked really impressive in his first non-wing race. I also noticed that the CRA guys did a better job than last year. I was really pulling for Mitchell, it seemed that both him and Cardey had rocket ships last night. Hopefully, a CRA guy can pull it off tonight (i.e., The Cowboy).

Another note: I was very pleased with the stream last night, it was almost seamless for me. I hardly had any issues. It was nice to be able to watch the race; I thought that I was screwed because I did not make the trip.

Great job USAC.
