Some of the newer guys that have driven cars owned by Bob would be Adam West, and Stevie Walsh through the KIDD program at Knoxville.

Also, if we are talking about Bob's cars that he built, Matt Kreiger is still running a Trostle at 34 Raceway in the 305 class. I didn't believe it until I saw the "factory ID plate" that Bob put in each one stating in fact that it was "Born in a barn".

Larry Weeks wrote a great article on this in the 1990 Knoxville Nationals program. Here's a few names not yet mentioned: Dick Kettles, Sonny Helms, John Babb, Don Brown, Roger Larson, Jim Grafton, and I think even Hawkeye Strobel got 1 night it the #20.

1980. He qualified a back-up car Wed. of the Nationals because the rear end was destroyed on the "good" car Tuesday night racing somewhere else. So the "good" car was laying around for Bob, Steve, & Karl to put together to race on Thursday.

And he ran the car at Eldora too, the John Sawyer story on Garry Rush in Open Wheel had a picture of him at the big E.

Roger Rager and Roger Larson were known as "Roger & Roger" they were both kind of crazy and wild back in the early 80's and for a time, they both drove for Trostle. I remember one night at North Star Speedway in Minneapolis when they both flipped & totaled both of Trostle's cars qualifying. I was down in the pits and I looked over at Bob Trostle and his wife, and he was sitting on an old milk crate with his head in his hands trying to decide whether or not he wanted to kill those two or load up and go back to Des Moines ! ! ! ! !

Back in the day, it would take less time to put who didn't drive 20 car!?!? Don't mean that in a bad way, but alot of drivers sat in that seat.
