If you want to get out of the Valley and enjoy some great racing head up to Prescott Valley Raceway this coming weekend. Open Comp. Sprint Cars will be competing For the third time this year.
The last Open Comp Show at PVR was well supported by racers and fans. 17 entries raced hard for the $1000.00 to win, and the track stayed fast all night. Racing was over by 10:45, and many stayed late and enjoyed the 69 degree mountain weather to visit with friends.
For those that want to know how the purse is paid out, it will be the same as last time. No one was disappointed. Last race paid the feature winner $1,000.00 cash and the rest of the pay out made the drive to Prescott worth it. Approximately $400.00 went to the second place finisher, $380.00 for third, $300.00 for fourth, $250.00 for fifth, and the rest of the field did pretty good too. $50.00 extra will be paid above the regular take to the Top Challenge Cup Contender. Art Mankel took the Honors last show, and with his 9th place finish Art Banked more than $200.00 in prize money!
The more cars that compete, and the more pit passes are sold, the bigger the purse! It's all paid back to the racers! ABC Body Shop, Cottonwood Auto Supply, and Mountain Valley Performance of Prescott Valley have already signed on to sponsor the event, and more sponsors are expected.
We hope that all will come up to Prescott Valley to enjoy some great Sprint Car Racing!
