There are several of us going to Petaluma on Fri for the non wing show up there. I was just wondering what kind of car count they were expecting for this show since most of the non wing 360 teams are based in so cal and central cal. Are most these drivers going to be wing drivers, and spec sprint teams? I think most spec sprints can compete with the 360 motors if track is not to tacky. Any kind of entry list would be appreciated and we look forward to a good show.

Last year this show was on Saturday (same day as Calistoga) and still got 26 cars. There was a mixture of local cars that took their wings off, specs, and some bandit cars from central Ca.

Hopefully the move to Friday will result in a car count in the 30's with it being $2500 to win. I read that Peter Murphy was racing in it.

As for the track, I would expect it to be tacky as it has been for the last month or so. Last Saturday it was real fast with two grooves (very nice). However, you never know. By recent weeks as a barometer it should be a ton better track than it was for the USAC show in June, which was disastrous.

Dennis, find your old small SpinTech's and put them on and I'd suggest you find an SC12. Remember, this is an open race. Ventura legal cars will likely be at a disadvantage

I ran the USAC show up there but broke a fuel pump, and struggled a little in the heat but had fun. The family and I are going up for the weekend to just watch and have a good time. Looking forward to threee straight nights of racing tho.
