Ruter Farms Adds Long Distance Award Money!!! See latest post... ------------------------------------------------------------- Race happens September 24th through 26th in
Spring Valley, MN and it might be the BEST paying Modified show of the
year! 3 races in 3 nights combine for $12,000 to win and $1350 to start
with 30 cars starting each night! Plus, a $2000 to win and $300 to
start 30-car non-qualifier's race on Saturday too! All cars who race
all three days get back at least $350 and if you hurry, you can enter
for just $200 this week! (By September 1st) It's a great track too! There's a whole lot more happening at this one. Check it out... ----------------------------------------------------------------

To get the maximum savings, you need to enter before Tuesday. It'll be
just $200 and every Modified that races all three days at Deer Creek
Speedway on September 24, 25 and 26 is guaranteed at least $350 back if
they fail to make any of the features including Saturday's $2000 to
win/$300 to start 30-car non-qualifier's race. Of course the big races
each night combine up to total $12,000 to win and make all three 30-car
A-mains and you're guaranteed at least $1350! That's like a 3-day show
paying $1350 to start the A.
Need an entry form? Right click on this one and see if you can print it
or just click on it and it'll take you to a PDF file on the USMTS
website.

The following is from USMTS:
Quote:
We will be accepting entries at the reduced early entry rate of $200 at
all of this week's USMTS races through Kasson on Sunday. Deadline for
postmarked entries was Tuesday, Sept. 1, but so long as they arrive in
the USMTS office by Monday, Sept. 7, either by mail, fax or phone, the
$200 price holds.
After Monday, early entry is $250 if postmarked by Sept. 21 ... after that it's $300 either by pre-entry or at the gate.

Get in a 'test session' race THIS SATURDAY (Sep 5th)!!
Labor Day weekend forecast for southeast Minnesota: Highs in the Mid 70s, lows in the mid 50s and NO rain!
Why don't you head that way. After all, it's a 3-day holiday weekend.
Make it a Modified-racing holiday weekend and visit some new territory.
Today, everything south of Kansas City has a chance of rain, on
Saturday, it's everything south of St. Louis and on Sunday, everything
south of Chicago has a chance of rain.
You can get a race condition test at Deer Creek Speedway in Spring
Valley, Minnesota THIS SATURDAY NIGHT (Sep 5th) in preparation for the
3-day, 11th Annual USMTS Featherlite Fall Jamboree which happens 3
weeks later on September 24th, 25th and 26th. Just the right amount of
time to figure what you'll need to go faster at Deer Creek.
While you're there bring along one of those entry forms, filled out
with $200. Only costs $200 IF you enter by Sunday, Sep 6th. All cars
who race all 3 days, get at least $350 back even if they miss all the
features. 30 cars start each feature at the Jamboree. 30 on Thursday,
30 on Friday and 30 in both the $6000 to win/$700 to start finale on
Saturday and 30 more in the $2000 to win/$300 to start non-qualifiers
race also on Saturday.
Oh, and that 'test race' purse THIS SATURDAY NIGHT at Deer Creek? Ain't
too shabby either. $3000 to win, $250 to start, at least a $14,000
total purse on a maximum entry fee of $120. Non-qualifier pay is a
minimum of $75 if you miss the A-main. Minimum of 20 and Maximum of 22
qualifying spots available for the A-main to ANYONE who enters.
Hey, since you're there and maybe off from work on Monday like we are
all supposed to be on Labor Day, why not head just a few miles
northwest of Spring Valley to Dodge County Speedway in Kasson THIS
SUNDAY NIGHT. Going to do it again with same purse and numbers as Deer
Creek's Saturday show. That's a combined $6000 to win and minimum of
$500 to start if you make both As!
And if you read this soon enough and can get away in time, you can even
make it a 3-day, 3-race weekend, combined $9000 to win, minimum $750 to
start by racing at Chateau Raceway in Lansing which is just west of
Deer Creek on FRIDAY NIGHT. (Better hurry up and get it together if
you're going to make that one!) Same numbers there.
Entire purse structure, entry fees and forms and lots of other information on these races and more available at www.USMTS.com !

Ruter Farms Long Distance Award Sweetens the Pot!
Ruter Farms in Iowa has added another $2000 to the purse at the
Jamboree. The ten Modified teams that pull the furthest to get there
will get an extra $200 each.
So with an entry fee of $250 postmarked before September 21st, not only
are you guaranteed a minimum $350 back as long as you race all 3 days,
but you can now also add $200 to that if you are one of the ten longest
tows. And naturally, you'll be aiming to make one of 3 A-mains so you
can collect way more than that. Thursday feature pays $2000 to win and
$300 to start. Friday's feature, $4000 to win and $350 to start.
Saturday's finale pays a whopping $6000 to win and $700 to start PLUS
there's a non-qualifiers race that pays $2000 to win and $300 to start
and all 4 of these features start 30 cars!
(28 spots open to qualifying in each of the 3 A-mains plus two USMTS
provisionals) And trust me, starting 30 cars is not a problem at Deer
Creek Speedway -- they do it every year. At least 60 teams will get a
minimum of $300 just on Saturday alone with another 30 getting a
minimum of $700! Can't beat that! Each night is an independent race
with it's own qualifying (Draw for heat race, passing points and B
mains each night) and payout. If you're leaving before Saturday, you
can collect your pay after the races on Thursday or Friday night but
you'll want to race all 3 days to get the $350 minimum back (that's
'against' all other winnings earned, NOT 'in addition to'), the $200
long tow award if eligible and the MAXIMUM FUN! And this race and this
track are flat out FUN and ENJOYABLE! (Just don't forget the jacket!!!
LOL!!)
Last year, 3 teams from Texas went up, another 5 from Oklahoma and a
couple from Arkansas who all would have qualified for this year's
Ruter's Farm Long Distance Award but there are lots of other Modifieds
in other areas of the country who can top that!

Some of you can make this deal and some of you want to make this deal but if you can and want to make it, come on...you will NOT be disappointed in the track or the show!!!
Fill it out an entry form and then you can call it in at 515-832-7944 or 515-297-3870. The entry is $250 if postmarked by the 21st (Monday) but if you call it in or bring it with you to Wednesday's practice at Deer Creek and ask for the Hook's Discount, they will take some off of that!

In case you haven't seen a Deer Creek Speedway Modified show yet, take a look:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZGqnGcv4mww
Lead car on the outside is Minnesota's Tommy Myer.
Lead car on the inside is Oklahoma's Dereck Ramirez.
White car that comes from third is Iowa's 18-year old phenom, Ryan Gustin.
It's the middle laps of an A-main (no cautions in this 7 minute video!) eventually won by Myer.
