Last Friday night saw the Goldesberry Motorsports #65 Maxim Chassis sprint car compete with the Ideal Ready Mix Sprint Invaders at Jacksonville, Illinois' Morgan County Speedway. Starting outside the 3rd row in the Golden Eagle Distributors - Budweiser of Burlington Heat Race #1, Jordan pushed the bright yellow Goldesberry Signs and Designs/Fibertech Racing/Goodridge Fittings/Unionboilermaker Gear racer to a runner up finish. That finish earned the 18-year old driver a spot in the The Links of Jacksonville Shake-Up Dash. When the checkers flew, Jordan once again found himself in the 2nd spot. Starting 6th in the Ideal Ready Mix A-main, Jordan quickly worked himself into the top 3. Using the high side of the Morgan County 1/4 mile, Jordan made a last lap effort to overtake leader C.J. Houseman, coming up just a bit short at the checkers. But Goldesberry's third 2nd place finish of the evening amounted to his best feature finish in nearly a year.
This Saturday night will see the Goldesberry team head to the Show-Me State to compete at Eldon, Missouri's Lake Ozark Speedway.
Racecar spelled backwards is racecar. Racecar upside
down is expensive.
