Final ASCS ‘Warm Up’ Before Cowtown Nationals This Saturday At Cowtown
Kennedale, TX (8/25/09) by DarinShort.com. When the ASCS Sprint Cars roll onto the Cowtown Speedway high banks, it’s always an exciting night of racing. But on their return on August 29th, it will mark the last time the Series will be at there before the running of the $85,000 Cowtown Sprint Nationals to be held on October 9-10.
The first Cowtown ASCS event of the 2009 season featured a great field of 39 sprint cars. 8th row starter Kevin Ramey came through the field to take home the hard fought win. In their return on June 27th, Ramey once again was victorious, this time coming from a third row start.
Ramey will be on hand to attempt an extremely rare 3-peat on the ¼ mile high banks…but a host of others including Michael Lang, George White, Brad Welborn, Justin Melton, Claud Estes, Matt Clevinger, Eric Baldaccini, Kolt Walker and around two dozen more will do their best to make sure that doesn’t happen. One thing is for sure, it’s going to be an exciting night of racing!
Joining the sprint cars on August 29th will be the lightning fast Winged 600’s, Limited Modifieds, Street Stocks and Bombers.
Adult tickets are still just $15, and advance tickets can be purchased on the track website, www.CowtownSpeedway.com – and there is no convenience charge to use your credit or debit card for payment online. You can also purchase tickets at the track on race night.
As of Tuesday morning, the forecast for race day shows ‘green flag’ conditions, with abundant sunshine and a high temperature of 91 degrees.
With hot laps around 6:30pm and the first green flag scheduled to drop at 7pm, make your plans now to be a part of the fun and action August 29th at the Fastest Lil’ Dirt Track in Texas – Cowtown Speedway, in Kennedale.
