I was told about this site a while back by Brian26. I've been lurking so I decided to join.

I grew up going to SportsDrome, Thunderbird and Devil's Bowl. After college I was able to attend races at such great racks as Ascot, Bakersfield, Ventura and Manzanita. This is where I fell in love with wingless sprints and midgets. One night at Ascot the Western Racing Assoc. (WRA) held a spirited exhibition and I told my self I would someday have a vintage midget.

Years later I now own a Hillegass rail midget I restored in 2006.

I wanted to invite those in North Texas and Oklahoma to a car show I promote on Saturday September 26th in Irving, TX. The show is called Manifolds on Main. This will be our second year. In 2008 we had 7 midgets, a sprint, champ, an Indy roadster, a Fromula Jr. and a 1/4 midget at the show. Plus over 180 cars in the car show.

This year we will have about two dozen vintage race cars. It looks like we will have everything from a Miller to a Maserati. Hope you can make it. I don't think you will be disappointed.

The car show is part of a bigger free Family Festival know as Irving Main Street Event.
