I have heard so many negative comments the last couple of weeks I wanted to throw my two cents worth out there.
I love the Knoxville Nationals. I love Knoxvilles weekly show. I'm not a Donny Schatz fan, but he is amazing to watch. I don't care what tire they run as long as there is a wing above it. I don't care if there is a fuel stop, the longer the cars are on the track the longer I get to watch the biggest sprint car race in the world. Steve Kinser is the best ever without a doubt. Terry McCarl is a terrible loser, but an awesome competitor. Danny Lasoski gets booed a lot at Knoxville, but without him where would the Knoxville regulars be on the World of Outlaws radar right now. I want to Steve and Sammy start in the front row of the Nationals again, but I still think Schatz would be somewhere near the lead at the end of the race, regardless of starting position. I think we would be talking about Jason Meyers being the next Steve Kinser if it wasn't for Mr. Schatz. I guess he will have to settle for the next Sammy. I think it was great to Stevie Smith back up front during the nationals, I really hope he gets a win there. I think Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne are great for sprint car racing. If they weren't doing what they are we would say they forgot about where they came from, isn't that right Jeff Gordon. I think if Kasey sticks with Joey for two or three more years they will win a championship and a nationals title. I know I would not want John McCoy, Ralph Capitani, or Doug Clark's job. I think Kraig Kinser had the least talent of anyone who has ever won the nationals, but it didn't say that on his trophy or the check. And, I think they will have to rebuild the grandstands when Steve Kinser wins the 50th Anniversary of the Knoxville Nationals.

This has to be the best positive positive post about the Nationals I've seen in months, the past few days have been brutal. I was one of the folks that had to leave sunday morning. Thanks to the Knoxville Website I got to see the 'A' Feature via their video highlights. I just wished i could have been their to see it, it looked like a very good race

Great to have a positive post for once, listing the good things that happened this week and pointing out why we love this sport. It was a great race, not the best, but there was great racing and stories, et. al., Kinser's spin, Jac's run from the B, Lasoski's run from the B, Schatz's lurking and then pounced for the win. There was Shane Stewart's run and Kraig wanting to kick his ass afterwards, lol, Zomer did well again, TK had a great Nats as did Shaeffer. There is a lot of good in the race if we look for it. Now watch someone get on and whine about something. It was a great week. Thanks.
My wife told me if I went to one more Sprint Car race
she would leave me.................I'm sure gonna miss
that ol' gal.

Hey Darbo, did you ever drink that package I sent out there with Doug Rankin? Waiting for the review, lol.
It's nice to see a first timer chime in with some common sense and appreciation vs. the ugliness that has stained this forum so often recently. Good on ya', Take It Easy...

Hi Mike,

Absolutely!! Had some great races and great stories on the week. Much respect to the Shatz team, earned every bit of that one. Wednesday was tough. Had a great interview afterwards too. Close again for Saldana and Stevie, hope they each get one someday.
Super run by the Dude from deep in the B. Nice run and save by the King also.
Thank you to the Knoxville safety crew both inside the track and out. Hope Ricky Montgomery a speedy recovery. Also hope the gentleman that collapsed at the bottom of section A Saturday is doing well and was back at the track Sunday.
Can't wait till next year! Hope to see ya'll there.
