Because of the Knoxville Nationals championship night being moved to tonight, Huset's Speedway has been forced to make some changes.

The Outlaw Sprint Cars will not be racing. We wish the best to our competitors who are racing tonight at Knoxville.

However, the Championship Sprint Cars will be racing a full program, with added money in the purse. The Championship Sprints (360) will be gunning for $1200 to win. It will be a full points race, but a draw-redraw procedure will be used for lineups.

It will also be a full points race for the Next Generation Sprint Cars, Gary's Tire Service B-Modifieds and Bolte's Roll Off Service Hobby Stocks.

Racing starts tonight at 7PM.

jeez- when they did this 4 years ago when the Nats were pushed back to sunday and the 410's were dropped, the ticket price DID stay the same.

Can't believe Rock Rapids rained out for tonight and Husets is a go. Well maybe they will draw some cars from Rocky that have a 360 with them. I think the bandits are 410s.

Rubenized again, what a joke, cancelling the 410's for Dobmeier whose I won't get out of the B Feature.  I can't believe they won't run the 410 class as a non points race, just to ensure that Dobmeier win the points title.   The Championship is a total joke also, whats this years, $300, bag of gummy bears and cheetos and a wink?

Once again the family shows their own %$#@^%%

I'm feeling a little Rubenized myself. It gets old.

What's the problem? The Rubins have notified fans of the change for tonight and explained why. They also have many 410 fans who are likely still in Knoxville. Sounds like they are being honest with everyone, as opposed to the ASCS/Bandit release citing RAIN for not racing.

Here's a novel idea...decide to go based on what's there tonight, instead of what isn't there. If you must see 410s, it might be wise to do something else. There certainly is no reason to be mad about anything.

I'm not mad I just don't see why I have to pay regular price and I'm getting less. I'm sure I will end up going but I think they could have taken a few dollars off of admission.

Doesn't the weekly show cost like 12 dollars. Unless you taking a family of 6, I would guess that the $2-3 decrease in price might not kill you.

The 13 car comments are pretty funny though...

I paid $3.00 to get in last night with a discount ticket given to me a whole 10 feet from the gate.

It was a good nights racing too. You folks that go to Husets every week bitch to much.

It was a very limited supply of reduced tickets available. Spoke to several who came into the pits and they got nailed for full price. The Rubenizing continues because the Modern Woodsman Assn, fronted the rest of the gate price. I hope they got a better deal as race sponsors for the night, and since they didn't have to pay out 3/4 of the purse.

I disagree. I got there at 7:19. At he north gate, the man still had a stack about 3/4" thick.

A few dollars might not seen like alot but it is to my family. With the economy we are on a tight budget so we can go to the races. Maybe we shouldn't go but we love sprint car racing so we make sacrafices. We did enjoy the show last night with the mini micro sprints.
