Just wanted to take a minute and thank everyone who came out to the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame and Museum on Wednesday for our Fan Forum on the 1969 Knoxville Nationals. We really appreciated the excellent turnout of fans to support something we've wanted to do for a long time...telling the story of that great race.
A very special "thank you" to Bob Mays for his time and effort and knowledge. Also, many thanks to our guests, many of whom made a special trip or set aside time from the busy schedules to participate...Ray Lee Goodwin, "Tiger Bob" Williams, Bob Trostle, Bob Kinser, Earl Wagner, Janice (Gritz) Sanford, Todd Sanford, Zeke Zegler and their families and friends who lent their support.
Also, thanks to Bob Baker, Tom Schmeh, David Hermann and the staff at the Hall of Fame for all of their help and a huge thanks to Kris Krohn for taking time out of a hectic week to film the presentation.
I hope everyone enjoyed being there as much as we did in making the presentation.
