Food will no longer be allowed thru the gate at Ventura. Only water, no soda. It seems the food concession has been complaining. Never mind the food is dismal and the wait in line glacial.

(at least they don't search the bags yet like they do at Perris sometimes but I guess a fress Pizza box is out of the question at Ventura)
One good thing, a ticket is still $14 unlike the $18 at Perris, and they even put a new coat of paint on the seats and the bathrooms to boot! Nice crowd, great car count, and the cars looked good on opening night. And two girls made the main on opening night and they both looked better (or their equipment did) and it should be another fun year at Ventura except for the food. The Kettle Corn is good though!

AS PUNISHMENT I FEEL WHO EVER MAKES UP THERE RULES SHOULD STAND IN LINE FOR AN ETERITY, AND ACTUALLY EAT THE PATHETIC EXPENSIVE FOOD THEY OFFER. I WISH NAYLOR HAD CONTROL OVER THE CONCESSIONS SO THE QUALITY AND SERVICE WOULD SHINE. VENTURA USED TO HAVE THE BEST FOOD AROUND SEVERAL YEARS AGO.

Looks like I need a bigger jacket to hide my cooler under...
Guess I will take a trip to the carpark for a meal at some point. Thats too bad.

Yeah.
Its a carpark. There were white lines on the dirt and everything.
Drive that car with the red stripe on. Its pretty fast huh.
