Is Kin Folks in Attica still open?
South on 14, East on 92, South on 5, West into Attica. Probably 10-15 minutes from the track
By far the best food near Knoxville.

When Taso's was downtown, it was good. There is also Udder's Steak House north of town on Highway 14 just before the big bridge on the east side of the road.....You used to be able to pick your own steak and cook it there....

Udder's is still there and I am looking forward to it. Expensive dinner, but it tastes damn good and fills you up before a night of racing.

There's a Chinese place on the west side of the square, the Coffee Connection if you wake up in time for breakfast on the south side of the square, and a Mexican place just off the square by the McKay Insurance Building. Since I live at the track for the week, I usually eat at one of the venders that set up shop by the track. Some are expensive but worth it. Of course the Hy-Vee across the street from the track also serves food throughout the day. Their breakfasts are really what their noted for.

Outside the track Capt's BBQ is at the quanset building between the RR tracks is the best. Inside the track the new beef brisket sandwich is even bettr than the tenderloin.

Wacko's outside of town is the BEST place to eat during the Nationals. If it hasn't changed in the past three years...it's a sports-type bar with a large deck and a sand volleyball court.
I crave their Chili Cheese Fries year round. My absolute favorite food ever. In fact, my family just text me a picture of them eating at Wacko's yesterday!

Unless something has changed, I have never seen concession prices more fair than they are at the Knoxville Raceway. Compared to sporting events I attend elsewhere, Knoxville has always been pretty reasonable for concessions - and the quality is pretty good, too.
Love me some Knoxville Raceway tenderloin and the meat nachos.
Is this heaven?
No, it's Iowa....Knoxville, Iowa.
