Parts Plus USCS sprint car Triple-Header highlights busy weekend August 6th-8th

Atlanta, GA – July 28, 2009 - The Parts Plus www.partsplus.com United Sprint Car Series Outlaw Thunder Tour continues action in the Parts Plus USCS Mid-South region next week on dirt surfaces with an Arkansas-Alabama-Tennessee triple-header at three of the series favorite tracks on August 6th, 7th and 8th. The three-race weekend posts over $33,000 in prize money with $2000 to win each 30-lap main event. With bonuses and dash awards one driver can take home over $7,000 for the weekend.

On Thursday, August 6th the Parts Plus USCS drivers co-headliner the 2nd Annual Riverside Speedway “Triple Crown Challenge” at the historic ¼ mile Gumbo clay oval located in West Memphis, Arkansas with the Rislone www.rislone.com USCS Modified Touring Series. The Triple Crown Challenge has a posted $10,000 top prize including prize money and bonuses for any driver who can win the Parts Plus USCS winged sprint car, Rislone USCS Modified and Riverside Stock Car division main events all in one night. Bonuses are also posted for winning two of the featured divisions as well. The Rislone USCS Modified drivers are racing for $1000 to win their main event. The Riverside Stock Cars are competing for a $500 top prize to win the 20-lap main event. The Riverside Mini Stock division is also featured on the action-packed mid-week program racing for $500.

The following night on Friday, August 7th the series makes its second visit of the season to North Alabama Speedway in Tuscumbia, Alabama. The sprint cars are joined by the speedway’s Super Late Model, Late Model Stock, Modified Street and Mini Stock divisions. The 2008 USCS “Rookie of the Year”, Anthony Nicholson from Bartlett, Tennessee won the Parts Plus USCS Speedweek 2009 main-event at North Alabama on May 24th.

The Parts Plus USCS three-night swing for winged sprint cars concludes with a mid-summer stop on Saturday night, August 8th at the three-eight’s mile Clayhill Motorsports oval located in Atwood, Tennessee. This race will be the second stop of the season at the highly-remodeled speedway that now features twenty-six skyboxes along with air-conditioned restrooms and new bleachers. On the first visit of the 2009 season, young gun Lee Sowell from Nesbit, Mississippi won the June 11th Parts Plus USCS main event. Also on the Clayhill racing card will be the following weekly racing divisions, the Crate Late Models, Open Wheel Modifieds, Hobby, Street Stock, Pure Street and both Hummer FWD classes.

All three Parts Plus USCS sprint car races award Parts Plus USCS National Championship points as well as Parts Plus USCS Mid-South Thunder regional series points.
