Steve Meyer led the first three laps, Balog passed Meyer on lap four for the lead and never relenquished it. Whitney passed Meyer on lap six and Winters got by Meyer on lap 11.
Others in attendance: John Lambertz tangled with Ryan Wilson on the first lap of their heat with the two cars getting hooked together and then slamming into one of the tires set up on the inside of turn one. Both were unable to race the rest of the night. Jesse Smith had problems in his heat and did not race again.
