Witchita Falls resident Tyler Webb got the elusive Young Guns Shootout win Friday Night, that he's tried for over 10 races in the past two seasons. Tyler is no stranger to YGS top 5's, but the win just wouldn't come. However on this race night, he was the class of the field.
Another top 5 YGS resident, Scurry Tx' #13 Gavin Smith again found himself in a top paying position, as he has in the last 4 events. As Webb has found out, you can't just come , buy your pit pass and make it Victory Lane, you better race hard, and Smith sure knows that route!
If you are from Kaufman County, you may have heard the name Courtney Garrison. The #93 Mustang had early race trouble with the YGS points leader Brad Dudley, and had to restart her bid to the top spot from the back, then found her way back to a top 3.
Bryce Pritchett #21 from Combine came home in 4th, with Princeton native Dillon Landers in the ksp1 rounding out the top 5.
Thanks to RPM and crew for bringing us in on short scheduling notice, and allowing us the world for our playground inside their gates. Thanks also to Doug Rollo for his announcing duties, and "The Judge", aka Jodie King for helping beat, I mean score the kids!!
Next up Kennedale Speedway Park sometime in late August, (lol, I have no clue what the date is right now as it's 3:45 in the morning)... Along with Tylers winnings, gained a free pit pass to KSP... Thanks for all the eastern Dallas and Western Kaufman County support from people like SNL Automotive, H.A.M.R., Straightline Striping, NAPA-Seogoville, Linda Johnson, Skip Luther, and Outlaw Driving School.
