I I heard that the decision to black flag a driver at BMS was made in the announcers booth, is this the way it is? If not, who does make the decision?

At Enid there has to be two officials that saw it happen and both have to agree on it. The person in the press box most of the time has a better view of the whole track.

Yeah right, like I have, or want that power. The decision is made most generally by the flagman, where it should be. Sometimes Mark Brill will make the ruling. Input is sometimes gathered from several officials if there's a question as to "how it looked from there".

Guess I should have called it the press box, then maybe you wouldn't have taken it so personal. There are other people in the PRESS BOX aren't there? I certainly don't believe everything I hear, I know what you said is the way it should be, but from what I've seen at Meeker thats not how it's done.

So you noticed that too! Sure seems like theres alot of favouritism and some conflict of interest going on, especially in the E-Mods. Until last weekend I can't remember the last time the black flag was used. It's been said that it's an entry level class so their a little more lenient, understandable to a degree. Then why is it when somebody gets into the 15 (which I understand is owned by Mark Brill) they are black flagged, when in the heats the 14 puts the 8N in the wall, uncalled for, and of course no black flag. The 14 car has tore up more equipment, (on other cars) than anybody else out there and week after week no black flag. (could it be)? Hey new guys, we all have to learn and one of the first things you should learn is when you get into another car get out of the gas, don't just stay in the gas and run over people. I'm sorry to say it,s not always just the new guys. It's not just the 14 either theres a couple of others out there that do the same thing. If your problem is do to a car that doesn't handle worth you know what, ask for help. Most drivers would rather give advice than get run over week after week.

POWERGLIDE, good post with good advice for the rookie drivers, although there are also some Vetrans that could use the same advice.
As far as favortism at BMS, don't think so. Mark is a Racer and understands both sides of the fence. He, unlike most Promoters leaves the on track calls to the Flag Man as it should be.
Just my 1 1/2 cents worth.

OMG ! Glad someone else is finally on to it to, I've been watching this week after week. No favortism? Give me a break. That track is going down fast because of it. People are tired of getting their cars tore up every week and have moved on to different places, thats why the car count is down. Just like what was posted on another entry, looks like a demo derby rather than racing! Between the 14 & 26 in e-mod division you need to stay clear. And exactly Brill is a racer so he of all people should totally understand you can't run a track that way and make it, people will only put up with it for so long.

The friday night when the late models was their the 26 e-mod slammed me into hard and i payed him back by giving a tap in turn one. guess what i got black flagged. Mark Brill heard all about it from me after words. i was told later that night the 26 mark robinson owns alot of the equipment that they use at the track. I didn't know if it true. but thats what i was told by another driver that sees it every week. i had no problem the next night.

i tell you what you people should get on a soap opra.crying about the 14 car please come on now you must be a new driver yourself or you just suck if your running in the back with him but he has a reason.hes new at it.whats your exuse.ive seen him get into a car that came from the top to the bottom in his lane and the other car spun out and you people cried about it so we pretty much know who you root for when there in the wrong and you blame others for there screw ups

the way i see it if your so unhappy with brills then there is plenty other tracks you can go to and watch racing at and you can find new things to cry about and if the other cars were faster they wouldnt have to worry about getting hit or any favortism because they would be up front. but hey we all know that the fast cars,everyone always cries something about them. and you sure cry a lot for only being a race fan

But thats what its coming to beleive me! everyone is getting pretty sick of it, then I guess the select few can put on a race by themselves!!!

WOW ! Must have really hit a nerve. Truth hurts huh? Ya your right everyone that reads this knows you can't, because I said the 26 won twice !!! Inspection comes after every race to the top five as soon as the race is over I said nothing about TEARING ( yes that is how you spell it ) down,I said INSPECTION ! ! ! But if the 26 wins everyone drives on to their pits. Ya the 22 can drive he uses his head not his foot and his checkbook. As far as being a racer and a fan pretty sure I can do both, I don't run to my trailer and drink beer waiting till its my turn to race I actually watch and help the other classes !! If you no how to work a mouse you can scroll up and see its not me that even started this, theres alot of people feel the same way! So ya STUPID read or have someone do it for you because you didn't even get the story straight before you started mouthing!

I'll go first even thought I've just read up on the conversation. Hey y'all I'm L.J. Rowan from Yukon. Currently getting a factory stock going to start racing August 8th at Elk City if everything goes well it will be ready.
